Anyone know what's going on? I know he stopped, but then said he was resuming, but there's nothing done other than January? Did he stop again?

I think you won't get to see months and months ahead of time like you used to. Actually the reason I still trust josh as my number one resource is he is truly the most honest source out there. Once Disney became unreliable in releasing their hours, I think he didbt feel comfortable making crowd calendars that were mostly just a "guess" on his part, unlike most other sources that have tried to continue with business as usual but, in my opinion, have suffered greatly in accuracy.

With that said, I do miss his calendars. He was always so spot on and I was able to plan months in advance with no hassle. Josh is great. :sunny:

Yes, I see up to March 2017 as well. Two factors seem to have slightly changed how he does it. The biggest is Disney no longer publishing park hours and sticking to them as far out as they used to. The other is that he seems to be using a more analytical approach, which I love being a data guy. The general format of the output is the same as before, but digging into his wait analysis in the blog posts are great.

I'm wondering how everyone uses the calendar since you would have ADR's and FP booked at this point. do you try and switch everything last minute or use it for day to day info.

Since they're no longer available far enough ahead to use it for anything planning wise I just look at it as a guide if we decide to change things around once we get there. Because yes, we already have at least some of our ADRs booked by now.

And I know for our trip this summer over July 4th week that we're doing everything he would advise to avoid so it doesn't really matter (LOL he would probably say to avoid the entire week :rotfl2: ). We're going to do 2 morning EMHs at AK to try to get thru Pandora and we're spending July 3rd at MK for the fireworks (which is also scheduled to be an evening EMHs) and then we're doing July 4th at EP (another EMHs evening). We know he would advise to avoid EMH parks. But the whole point of even GOING this week is for the special holiday fireworks. They only do them on the 3rd and 4th at MK and at EP on the 4th so there's not a whole lot of choice there if we're going FOR the fireworks.

Personally, I would not switch/change anything based on any crowd calendar. It's going to be crowded no matter what. I feel like it's all in how you handle it.

Josh and I think the people at Touring Plans both say that getting to a park before opening is the best thing you can do and trumps any touring plan.
I think you mean trumps any crowd calendar. everyone recommends a good plan.

I don't ;) We threw our touring plans out on the second day.

I think that getting there early is most important and second is doing the most popular rides before the late sleepers arrive. Kind of obvious but most people don't do it. We've never used a touring plan and have never waited longer than 20, maybe 30, minutes for anything. But that includes skipping an attraction during a trip if the line is too long.

Only onsite guests would have FP booked at this point, depending on what part of the month you're going. We can't book our FP yet, because we are offsite.

So true. The current FP system does improve the late sleeper's situation somewhat (if they use it) but I don't think it completely makes up for an early arrival combined with the smart use of FP.

I love Josh's crowd calendars, and I'm patiently waiting for July 2017 to appear. As the new attractions are unveiled at AK, it will be interesting to read his commentary; his detailed recommendations are very informative. Even if you have no interest in crowd calendars, his blog /reviews are well worth reading.

I do plan my trips 6 months out, so unfortunately Josh's site no longer works for me. :headache:
