Well, I tried to time it to be exactly at his time of birth, but it didn't quite happen that way!!! He opened his first "gift" at about 5:07pm (he was born at 5:05). Anyway, I had a poem in there about finding keys on a scavenger hunt. Had to be in the house--it's 23 degrees here!!! So he went on the scavenger hunt, collecting his keys and got down to the family room to the DVD player. He pushed play and backed up. I guess he thought it was going to explode or something!!!! He saw the WDW promotional DVD and sat and starting watching it . . . no reaction!!!!
So after about 30 seconds I said "do you understand what's going on?" And he said "yeah, we're going to Disney World". It was very matter-of-fact 
and I was almost in tears. So I said, "yes, we are going--tomorrow morning".
He honestly didn't GET IT. He just stood there. Then you could see the wheels turning and he said "WE'RE GOING TO DISNEY WORLD TOMORROW MORNING??????!!!!!" Once I confirmed he screamed and started running around the house. He finally ran over and hugged me and he was crying. Then he wanted to know "what kind of plane" we are taking, but didn't wait for an answer!!! He was up the stairs and putting his shoes on and heading for all the kids in the neighborhood!!! He is just beside himself.
Ain't NOBODY sleeping in Carolyn's house tonight--we're all too high on the Magic of it all!!!!!
Once again, for anyone that has not seen my other "thank you" posts, I just want to say to EVERY ONE of you THANK YOU for riding this roller coaster with me. It has been a very tense 1 1/2 months but we're finally here. He's doing well medically and he is so excited!!! You all have been so supportive of me and of our situation and I just can't thank you enough. I'm overwhelmed by your caring and generosity.
PLEASE if you're going in the next 9 days or so, look for us!! We'll be the ones with big bright smiles and lime green Mickey pins!!!!
