Hi, I want to use Josh most recommended park day by day guide. I'm not bothered with crown levels as such, just want to pick the least crowded park for each day.

We travel on 1st Nov which means our ADR's open up in May, At the moment Josh's guide is up to September, does anyone know if November will be up by May ? I want to book a couple of ADR's for B.O.G but to do that need to know what day we will be in Magic Kingdom.

We had a holiday booked for November last year but we canceled as our DD was ill. We already had our park days plans using Josh's guide can I use them and just alter the dates to match this year or is that not how it works? We have never used this method before but as everyone is saying how busy the parks are now I thought it would be worth trying it, though if lots of people do the same thing will it not make that park busier?
Thanks in advance for any info or tips you are able to give me .

As I was beginning to plan our upcoming trip in May, the calendar for May was not yet available. I used the prior May as an initial guide, mapping the days to the next year based on when they fall relative to Memorial Day. You could do the same, using Thanksgiving week as your reference point.

The key to the recommended days at easywdw is EMH. If the EMH schedule gets switched it could alter the sequence of recommended days. That said, I think you really just need a starting point that you can use to plan until the actual calendar comes out so you can refine. This will more than likely happen before your 180-day mark so you can finalize park days and lay out ADRs.

As to the question of whether using easywdw recommended park days could become a detriment due to the popularity of using them, I don't think there is nearly a great enough percentage of people who are likely to go to such a level of planning for it to matter.

I've never planned a trip using his crowd calendars and have them not be out by my 180 day booking window.

You can use last year as an indication of places you may want to try for dining and which parks you may want to hit in which day, but his holiday schedules (October, November, December, etc) largely vary on which nights Dishey schedules the Halloween and Christmas parties.

He usually puts it out around the time the travel agent calendar comes out because of extra magic hours...usually around the 15th of the month 7 months out...the November one will probably be out around the 15th of April...

I used the October 2015 as a guide for our oct 2016 trip and did have to make some changes because EMH changed since 2015...you can plan MK will likely be the most recommended park for party days and the party schedule is out...the other parks vary based on EMH and day of the week.

He posted October's schedule well in advance of 180 days out. The which park is better part is shown, just not the why he recommends or doesn't recommend a certain park. So hopefully November's schedule will be posted in advance too.

I've followed his recommendations for 4 years now.

Josh is the best!! I mean really, how many Disney bloggers have a movie made about them - Snarknado!!!

Thanks guys will definitely be using it when it is released .

Dates are now out for the MVMCP so based on those dates I will choose a day to book B.O.G for lunch as soon as I hit my 180 days mark.

Random question,
how many days can I book ADR's for? is it still 10 days then one day at a time? and is it the same for FP+
We are there for 18 days

Love Josh. We have found his crowd calendars to be very accurate. The few times we have park hopped to a non recommended park we have been sorry. Now before we leave one park to hop to another, someone in the family will say "Which park does Josh say?"

On a side note, I love the snark of the easywdw site!

Hmmm...we've never stayed for more than 8 days so I'm not sure what happens after the 180+10!

Another endorsement from me! We always use his calendar and have found it to be THE BEST planning tool we use. On occasion we have hopped to a not-recommended park for an ADR and have seen the difference in crowd levels to be true to his predictions. We will do late EMH but only hopping during the actual EMH time, we follow his calendar faithfully and have never been disappointed.

We always use Josh's advice and crowd calendars. He has always been very accurate for our trips, and has an explanation for every day of the month on the calendar.

One thing that I think Josh and Touring Plans agree on is that getting to a park before opening beats crowd levels almost every time.

He posted October's schedule well in advance of 180 days out. The which park is better part is shown, just not the why he recommends or doesn't recommend a certain park.

And I think the highlighted part is really only important if you want to (or have to) go to a non-recommended park, because he gives advice on how to be successful on those days. (Like for instance, if you're going to be there during a time one of the parties is taking place, but want to see nighttime entertainment at MK.)

Love love love EasyWDW!! Josh's recommendations are spot on! However, depending on the length of your trip, you may want to look at Touring Plans' crowd levels, as well, because they are an effective tool for planning longer trips. For example, if I know I want to go to AK 3x in my 15 vacation days, using TPs CLs helps me to decide which day, of the four recommended AK days, is better to do that.

As well, Josh's recommended park days have changed from previous years, so don't depend on them being accurate for your upcoming trip if you are looking at the 2015 calendars.

Happy planning!

Could you share a link? When I go to the site, it's only listed through September. I just checked to make sure I wasn't missing anything.
