Josh and Anna Duggar Had their baby!

I'm really tired of hearing about this family every few months....but congrats to them, I guess.

I just saw this on Facebook seriously AGAIN
Well at least it's Anna's not Michelles so congrats to them

i've been thinking about this recently.

when jimbob and michelle first tried to get pregnant, michelle had a miscarriage. which they believed was god punishing them. they also believe the blood of adopted children is unpure (whatever that means).

well, women michelle's age aren't really supposed to be having babies just on the biological sense, kwim? michelle is getting really close to going through menopause. and the later in life you have your children, the more likely you are to have a miscarriage or serious birth defects.

i really just wonder what they would do, as a family, in that case. i'm sure their family physician has warned her about this. and if they view a miscarriage as a punishment from god() what are they going to think when her body is just telling her she's too old to have a baby?

eh. these are just the things i think about while the show is on. that, and how much money they're getting from tlc when they make 75k an episode and don't pay any taxes. (yet they still shop at bargain stores and have collection jars in all the grocery stores)

so, i'm not usually one to judge... ;)
but i think this whole family is off their rocker.
but that's just my opinion.
no one needs that many kids.
it's not physically or mentally healthy.

congrats on the new baby though.
i wonder if they'll have 357,868,766 kids too.

You know shelby that brings up a good point! i know that michelle did mention that she was aware of the complications that may arise with this current pregnancy, and they were willing to risk it.

I do wonder what they would do if their child was born with down syndrome or something??

ETA: I bet josh has 10 kids....they're just getting started! ;)

omg! i just busted out laughing :rotfl:

I agree with Sparx (sorry- I forgot your name!). Although, this is Josh and Anna, not Michelle and Jim Bob. So it's different. But Michelle and Jim Bob are getting a little outragious. I know it's their religion and stuff but it's a little much. I'm happy for Josh and Anna though.

Ahww, (:

And, I don't really care about the whole "Michelle needs to stop having kids". I mean it's her body, as long she's not putting the baby in any serious danger then all power to her. I think if it came to a point where it was dangerous she would quit.

I don't necessarily agree with the not paying taxes thing. But whatever I can't do anything about that and I'm in no place to judge her.

it already is dangerous, and she's not quitting.

and are you just speaking of emotional/psychological danger or physical? where on that would you place risking a miscarriage, mental retardation, down syndrome, and autism?

what about the serious lack in a proper education? proper socialization? exploiting the children on television? teaching them to cheat on their taxes? (sorry i really cannot get over that one)

i'm not trying to pick a fight, i'm just wondering how everyone else feels about this past that point of "omg they need to stop having children!"

and not to you know, generalize or anything, but people who generally believe that a miscarriage is punishment from god also probably don't "believe" in things like autism or down syndrome, kwim?

And that money sure ain't going to college funds for the kids...

Amen.

Amen.

oh, of course not. actually, after about one season, they could send everyone through for their doctorate at harvard and have enough left over for a few months in disney world.

(and they've had a lot more than 1 season)

and i mean, if you add in all that tax money that theyre NOT paying, thats at least enough for grandbaby duggar to i don't know, buy a baseball team?

Congrats to them!!!

Honestly its not really anyones place to judge this family, but I totally think that it is great that they have this many kids. All that matters is if they take care of the properly and they are fully prepared for problems in upcoming births (ex. disabilities and such do to Michelle's age).

Anyways Congrats!!

Maybe it's going to Michelle's Lingerie Fund? I dunno, that might be against God. ;) There's always the chance they're giving it to charity and I wouldn't put it past them, but do they even support any charities outside the Quiverfull stuff? It's not like they pay for anything, everything's either paid for/donated by TLC or some other "generous" foundation, or it's tax-deductible.

i don't think they support any charities. i'm sure tlc would make an episode about it or something.

they honestly feel as if they are poor. they live very below their means. up until they 12th child they lived in a two bedroom house (which i feel borders on child abuse personally.)

they shop at very cheap bargain stores. i saw on television once that they were discussing bananas. they went to a different store to buy bananas that were like 5 cents cheaper. :confused3

I'm happy for Josh and Anna. This is their first child, and I hope that they'll raise her in a stable household.

As for JimBob and Michelle. I'm so curious now to see how they would react to a miscarriage or baby with autism or some other kind of illness. She is getting way too old to have children, not to mention the state her uterus must be in.

I really don't think they have all those kids *just* because they don't use BC. I mean, I'm sure there are plenty of couples that don't use BC (and fertile) that don't have 20 kids. They must be trying.

I worry about those children and their education levels (or lack there of) and social (dis)abilities. Those things WILL impact their future in a negative way.

haha.
that made me lol.
i bet it is in pretty bad shape.

Uhm, more physical than emotional and mental.

I think that if it became a real danger, TLC wouldn't be filming it. I don't think they would make a show out of something that could possibly be putting babies in any danger.

Anytime you have a child, you are taking the chance of austism, miscarriages, or any kind of problems. I don't know anything about if the risj of those or higher with the number of children you have though ?

How are they having a serious lack of a proper education ? They're homeschooled. I think they're having a better chance of a proper education then they would in the school.

I do think they should quit having children. It's ridiculous to have that many kids. But I was jist saying, I can't do anything about that. I can't go in and tell them to quit having sex, or tell them to pay their taxes, so I'm not gonna sit here freaking out about the Duggars.

Agreed. It seems like they are purposely having sex on her fertile days.

With 18 kids or how ever many.. when do they have time for this much sex ?
