Joovy Kooper vs. City Mini

I have the city mini single stroller and absolutely love it!! It is a breeze to steer/turn and fold. I have owned over 11 strollers in the last 10 yrs. This one is the best. the fold is the best out there. The sun shade is amazing. We purchased the city mini in April for our August WDW trip. It was great at WDW to use. So easy to fold up for the buses. We drove to disney(well 1/2 way and then the autotrain took us the rest of the way) -- it took up little room in the van. The wheels pop off to make storage easier.

I also have a maclaren techno XT which I still use but the city mini is my main stroller. I found my at a USA baby store in CT. I have seen them at some babies r us. I know you can also get one at albee baby.com. another place would be craigslist. There is one listed by me for $150- includes parent organizer(a must!) and child tray.

Funny you should ask...I just went through this myself.

We rented the double City Mini last May from Orlando Stroller Rental. I fell in love with it. There was nothing about it I didnt like. So when we got home we made plans to sell our other 4 strollers and buy a single. We sold the strollers and saved the money.

Fast forward to last week. I went to the garage to grab our little Maclaren, and my lovely 12 year old had snapped the wheel off. I needed a stroller ASAP so I could walk my kids to school without having to carry the baby. I did some comparisons, decided on the City Mini, then when I went to order it, I couldnt find anywhere that would ship fairly quickly.

We went to Babies R Us and tried out the Kooper. I love it. I love the way it pushes, folding is a breeze, great sunshade. And I love the little mesh pockets on the inside of the seat. Oh and the cup holders on the back. The only thing I wish, was that it folded flat like the mini.

We just got home from a week in WDW with our Joovy Kooper! Our 5 year old daughter fractured her ankle so we needed to buy a stroller for our trip. We tried the Kooper out in Babies R Us and thought it was great. It folds well. My husband had no problem at all on the buses with it. It steers really easily. My daughter loved the little mesh pockets to hold her treasures in. My favorite feature is the sun shade. It is huge! It was great for the HOT weather we had last week.

We got in in red. The material is really comfy. I actually got mine from Ebay for $146, shipped. Brand new in the sealed box.

Highly recommend the Kooper!

We just got back at the beginning of the month and just bought the Kooper for the trip - we bought one for the 4 year old and one for our 1 1/2 year old. They loved it and we loved it - the shade is the best and a must for that Disney sun, the kids loved the pockets to hold their little toys or snack bags, we liked the underneath basket, it folded up nicely - it was great. I also like that you can use until the child is 55 pounds. My 4 year old is very tall for her age and she fit great. Have a great time!

We bought the Citi Mini for our upcoming trip to WDW in Sept because it folded quickly for the buses, steered easily, and has the best sunshade of any stroller we have ever had. The only thing I don't like about it is its lack of storage; the basket is very small and hard to access--you can really only get at it from the side, so you can't fit your diaper bag in there. There also aren't any cup holders, but of course for more money you can buy that accessory.

There wasn't any Joovy strollers at the BRU that I went to so I never tried that one.
