Joovy Groove, Baby Planet, Mac - Oh My!

So I am pretty much sold on the mac quest. But since I will be spending that much on a stroller I figured I would shop around.

Love the look of the baby planet endangered species line. And I like the look of the Groove and the extra seat and canopy is pretty cool.

The real big turnoff is the groove is 16 pounds and the baby planet isn't that far from there.

Does anyone have these? Are they worth the extra weight - my concern is specifically hauling around the busses in Disney.

How funny is that? I like that one, worried about it looking to dirty after awhile. But will probably be a good one for him and the upcoming one...

I have the baby planet frog ( green and black) I have to say it is really cool. Great canopy coverage. The handles are not adjustable but they are fine for me and I am 5'8. The black part of the seat (Top and bottom) is actually this really soft fabric. Not fleece but close. This surprised me and had I known I might have worried it would be hot for DS here in Fla. But it is high enough not to come into contact with him. The stroller itself is very striking. It does not fold as small as a Mac as the frame has a large curve to it but it is still smaller than a full size stroller. I bought it on a whim as I had previously purchased a Zooper Hula for the around the town stroller (Many more accessories) but i find myself using the baby planet instead. Push is great- very smooth.
I had the Mac volo and triumph for DD and nothing beats a Mac push but the baby planet is close and it is much more plush than the Macs.Recline is not full but close. Only problem so far in 6 weeks of use is that the basket is a little hard to get to. There is a cross bar on top of it so you haveto go in from the front of the stroller. Not tippy. Let me know if you have any ??

Hello ERmama. This is OT, but I looked on your link and saw your cutie Nora. My neighbors (also friends from church) also adopted from Guatamala last year. Their baby is 18 mos now and cute as a button. Just wanted to say congrats and she is just precious!

Thank you daisylove for your comments. I am really leaning toward the frog, thinking Disney is only once and this will be my main stroller from then on, so why not.
How about the lugging around? Would you be ok taking it with you on the busses?

And ERmama - I too checked out your blog today...congratulations I know it must have been wonderful for that day. As I was reading and watching her grow I just kept thinking jeez when is she going to get there!!

I have a Baby Planet double (Unity Sport) and like it a lot!!!! It's very well made. The one thing that I really love - they have excellent customer service!!! One of the sunshades broke on our trip. I emailed them to ask for a new one. They called me the next morning!! She and I played phone tag but we got the info exchanged and my new sunshade arrived today!!! I was thrilled with their CS. You just don't see that often!!!

Did you try Amazon. that is where I got mine.

I could see taking it on the buses. It isn't totally compact due to the curved frame but it certainly much smaller than the gragos etc. Good overall stroller. hope you enjoy it.

We have the monarch butterfly stroller and I love it. I was having a hard time choosing between the mac and chicco when I came across this. I wanted something diffrent then everyone else. We see Macs everywhere. It was a bit more than those two, but seeing that it was my last stroller to buy I went for it. I've even gotten some compliments on it because it's orange and black. I second getting from Amazon. That's where I purchased mine from.

Unless I have the canopy down, you really can't tell it's a butterfly. I did like the fact that it probably wouldn't get as dirty as the other endangered species. It does help that I have a girl, but dh did make a comment that it wouldn't be missed in a crowd because of the bright orange. LOL.

I was looking at a couple of different sites and it says the Frog stroller isn't available until June. Although I saw someone with a comment on Amazon about it. I think there is so much buzz about these strollers and that's why they are back ordered. I bought mine in Feb./Mar. and didn't have any problems with back order.
