Jonesville, LA affected?

Does any one know? I emailed a friend a couple of days ago to offer assistance. No answer. Don't want to panic, because she is in law enforcement, but she does have younger children. Power could also be out. So just looking if anyone knows. Thanks

Hi, I live in the Baton Rouge area. I haven't heard of any place around Jonesville being damaged (that doesn't mean that they didn't). The phone systems (including cell phones) are messed up all over Louisiana and the rest of the Gulf Coast. If you are getting a fast busy signal, just keep trying to get through. We have a camp in Mississippi near Natchez and they are without power or phones. That area has lots of trees and they sustained a lot of wind damage. Jonesville isn't too far from there. Maybe you could check to see if the Natchez area has an online newspaper to read any news.
