As of today June 22 they have been taken the first step to dissolve their marriage.

The alluded to it throughout the show and then at the end, before the credits, there was a board that said "On June 22, 2009, Jon and Kate filed papers to dissolve their ten year marriage"

I guess that's what happens when you think you're a "movie star"....

They started the show to make money to support their children (guess neither of them thought of this before using AI to get prego w/twins and then sextuplets).

Obviously, the "fame" went to both their heads and Jon thinks it's OK to have an affair with a girl 10 years younger than him and Kate thinks it's OK to have an affair with her security guy.

They forgot that it was "all about the kids" and put their own selfish needs ahead of what was best for those 8 kids.

I feel the same way and can't wait to watch it later (we only have 1 TV with cable and fiance is watching it now) so I will watch the rerun later tonight. But really, it is sad, but at the same time they decided to put their lives out there for all to see. I really feel bad for the kids and think they need to do some couples counseling and cancel the show. I honestly believe, no matter what the two may have said today, that reality tv ruined their marriage.

The method they chose, that we also did has the LOWEST occurence for such multiples.

For anyone who watched the show tonight, we were joking here that we should have made a drinking game, taking a slug every time they said "crooked house"............ That was the business that gave them free stuff this episode. So the kids wore the business t shirts, and we had to hear about the company over and over. (Think expensive, but free to the Gosslins, playhouses.) Meanwhile, we were puzzled as to why each of the 10 year olds got their OWN playhouse (umm, they are too old for these!) yet the little kids had to share, 3 kids to a house. (PS the houses are cute but tiny)

My point was, they should have thought of how they were going to support their children BEFORE getting AI (or whatever it is that they got -- none of the pregnancies was natural, so it IS Artificial Insemination on some level) and having 8 kids and having to put their entire lives in the public eye in order to support them.

Honestly, they're no bettter than the "Octo-mom" who has already started filming HER 'reality' show.

Mady and Cara are 8 (they'll be 9 in Oct.)- yes I have more info. on the family than I would ever need I don't know, they both seemed to really enjoy playing in them. I'm sure my DS (7 1/2) would love to have one of his own too (although never happening since the company wouldn't care about me advertising for them)

As the pp stated they chose what was scientifically the least possibility for mutliples. I'm sure they did have a plan on how to financially support 1 more child and most likely even 2. Obviously they never could have imagined they could/would have 6 more.

As far as them being no better than octo-mom...really???? They (2 parents) with 2 incomes, had 2 kids went for another. Shewas a single mom, already had 6 and no income, living at her parents Really you don't see a difference?

That was my first thought when I saw the first tabloid cover. But having watched on and off from the start, I'm surprise it took this long. I feel for the kids, guess we'll just have to wait ten years for the first tell all book.
