Is Jon taking the kids to church when it is his turn?

I keep reading lots of posts about what Kate is or is not doing with the kids. But as far as church goes, nothing about Jon?

If Kate gets a pass for not going Jon should too, right?

I don't really consider this 'discussing religion'. We are talking about the activities of two giant cartoon characters, as they were in the past and as they are now. But I guess if someone wants to report it that is their prerogative.

Next topic!

People are saying things though that make it difficult to discuss without going into religion.

That's the problem.

While this isn't a contract (and we have seen this before), this does show the nature of what was expected to book Jon & Kate at a church:

.

This stuck out at me when I read this link. We typically use our presentation entitled 'Six (in honor of our 6) Lessons We Have Learned' where we start with a video montage set to music of our family and then do our presentation.

To me, it seems like the twins are often left out. With talk like this, it's no wonder Mady has the issues that she does. :sad2:

You're right, Jon gets a pass from me too. This is really something that is private and in each of them.
It's really about what the mods consider discussing religion, and if I respond how I want to, we would be discussing religion :rotfl:. We've already been warned, so why take a chance...we've been here too long to get closed over something that really doesn't even play into many just wanting the kids not to work.

Here is an example of one of the cancelations.
another example:

Those emails are TERRIBLE! Hopefully the person who wrote them took some grammar and tact classes! They are incredibly unprofessional to say the least!

In that ET interview, Mary Hart asked them something about the papparazzi or being in the tabloids or something and Jon said "Well, I understand for me it's good for marketability, but Hailey doesn't need that." Marketability for what is what I want to know? What is Jon trying to "market" himself for?

Jon said a lot of stupid things in that interview IMHO. My "favorite" is when he told Hailey he'd be at her parents for Thanksgiving because "it's on my schedule". :rotfl: To which Hailey responded "On your schedule? You're not doing us any favors!". :rotfl2:

Where the heck is he doing this???

December 14th is Jon's day in court with TLC
We all have said that Jon and Kate probably have people that read these types of boards to get a public feel for their actions....if so please tell Jon to stop engaging the paps, especially when the kids are around.

Jon's court date is the day after my birthday!! :goodvibes

I'm glad to see that the pap didn't ask questions when the girls were there (that were shown at least).

I believe in the Vanity Fair article she said she doesn't go to church b/c she is too famous. I'm not 100% sure on that so somebody can correct it if it's wrong.

She didn't/doesn't have any problems going on vacation and trips w/o Jon, so I don't feel especially sorry for her if it's too painful to go to church just her and the kids. Seems like something a person who does everything for their kids, is a 'Can Do' person, and someone who can't go back only forward would do.

JMO of course.

I'm still catching up, so forgive me if this has been mentioned. In the episode where they showed them going to Church the kids were in a daycare. So how hard could that actually be to have them there. As for getting them ready in the morning, if someone can do it for school it could be done for Church.

I don't think she said it was the actual getting ready, but more the feeling of going now that they are 9, instead of 10. She indicated it was hard to go as 9. I think even with this crazy couple, divorce affects them with lots of sad feelings of a marriage gone sour, even if they no longer wish to be with that person as a wife/husband. I would imagine, that like a newly widowed person, there are firsts to get through.
The tups were prob in Sunday School in that episode you saw. Usually, once they are school age, they sit in church for a while, then go to Sunday School, (parents stay up in church, at least in our church and the AoG church here that we have attended occasionally) not that that makes a difference in how someone would feel about going.

Oh good grief! Why oh why does Jon insist on speaking with the paps? I seriously don't understand. And I thought he looked shifty while speaking this time, his eyes were everywhere and he was smirking. Jon, man up please and just politely say 'no comment'. How hard is that? No wonder the paps follow him everywhere, they know he'll give them interviews. He's allergic to privacy I guess.:sad2: And when the twins were covering their little faces with their coats, that just made me sad. Get a grip Jon, you say the kids don't want to be filmed so what makes you think they'd like the paps filming them? I can tell you right now, if that were my DH, he'd have been all up in that guy's grill if he tried filming our kids.

Jon insists on talking to the paps because he says it is easier if you are friendly with them and besides they are just doing their jobs and have families to support too. (really, he said that.)

But if he is so friendly with them, why doesn't he say..."Please don't come to the bus stop and ask me stuff when the kids are around, I'll meet you out at the fence when we get home."

Further proof that he has no interest in their privacy and his martyrdom for stopping the filming is highly undeserved.:sad2:

Parents who care (read "real" celebrity parents) will make efforts to shield the kids themselves or to dismiss the paps. There is none of them.

:rotfl2:

As funny as that sounds, it would be better! He's got all day while the kids are in school or when he's not with them!

Why drop them off at this wonderful spot for the paps. Why can't the bus come to the house? Why can't they drive them to school the paps are not allowed on the school property.

I can't believe that I didn't think of this sooner...for Christmas Jon needs to ask Santa Claus for a really good camera:santa: ...then when ET and Insider decide to move on he can support Haileyprincess: and his kids :dance3:by being a papparazzi...he's such good friends with them :grouphug: that maybe he could even "hitch" a ride with them to save some gas:drive:...why didn't I think of this before?????

Some schools just do pickups that way. Especially if they are private, charter or magnet schools.

It's easier on the school to pick up a group of children at a central location.

I'm not sure--but the G-children can't possibly be the only children being picked up at that location. And even if they are--it could have very easily been a decision the school made that is beyond the G's control.

I bussed to a school in New Orleans in this manner. What was weird is that part of the route was a traditional school bus route and that covered half the kids. The other half met at a public library and we were all picked up there. And my family had to pay for the bus service as the parish (at least at that time) did not pay to transport students to schools. You either used city busses or a private school bus company. The busses were still bright yellow though.

the last time I read anything about Jon taking the children to church, it was back in the spring .. one of the weekends Kate was away on a speaking engagement.

another thing I've seen mentioned about Jon is that he attends activities at the children's school .. and seldom, if ever, does that get mentioned. I'm sure Kate attends things, too... which is a reminder that we truly don't know everything either of the parents do even 75% of the time.

That's probably true (the 75% of the time remark), but it "seems" like we're informed of what they're doing 275% of the time.. LOL..

Yep - we really need to see that.. He looks scary and silly at the same time..

December 14th is Jon's day in court with TLC:

I was wondering when the court date was.. Hopefully it won't get postponed - as court dates often do.. No one wants to see this drag on forever and ever..
