It wouldn't let me quote from the last thread, so
Kidshop--I will ride Splash Mountain for you. It will feel good with the 90 degree weather.

DMRick--I do agree with you that these incidents involving the police don't look good with the court if someone is arrested (Jon or Kate)

Well, off to bed. We had to be at the airport at 5:30am so we are beat!

Have fun on your trip. Eat a Mickey bar for me. :)

And just because I am on a roll tonight apparently....

That nanny/babysitter chick that Jon hired... I haven't seen her do much but have a kid on her hip - the other pics of nannies show them interacting with the kids and playing. The pics I saw on the prev link with the mother load of photos - I haven't seen her do much in the way of anything but looking "duh" and putting a kid on her hip. Must not have been the skills he was looking for. :rotfl2:

I guess that is better than sitting in a chair, checking your phone, watching the kids play. At least she's interacting...

What is the popcorn for? We actually get along pretty good on this thread. We may agree, but we settle down pretty quick when we have to!
We've finished over 5 threads..congrats everyone on staying so civil (give or take LOL).

Can somebody share the links to Kate's latest People article? The other thread is so huge I will never find it!

How is the chick interacting? That's her own kid on her lap. I assume when Kate and the kids are out front, it's because they are usually riding their bikes. What should she be doing besides siting and watching them? I've seen Kate do stuff with her kids, including having a picnic, she played with them in their houses, she threw a ball, and I assume she does something when they are out back, like swim and when they were little they had the picnic tables and they did stuff. But out front? Not much to do while they ride their bikes. Besides, what would sell more pictures? Kate sitting on her butt on the phone (with said comment under the picture) or playing with her kids? I'm betting sitting. What do the rest of you do, when your kids are out riding in the drive?I used to read a book..hardly even paid attention to them LOL.

Here I thought I would have nothing to comment on since I stopped watching the show and here I am commenting away....
somewhere in the first few pages of thread 5, I wasn't coming back to the thread because I don't watch the show anymore.

It's interesting to think that maybe Mady is Kate's informant. Not terribly smart on Kate's part because if it's true, then Mady is constantly looking for things Jon is doing wrong. Of course he's pretty much an idiot these days but still, he doesn't deserve to have one his kids ratting him out. My Mom did the same thing with me when my parents divorced and it was very uncomfortable to report things back to her.

I hope she's not an informant, especially in the manner you're describing. I think that Mady has always seemed closer to Kate than Jon, based on what we've seen on the show. So it wouldn't be a shock to me to learn that Mady is the one calling Kate.

I had much reading to get caught up on! We started back to school this week and life was insane.

I missed most of the pictures posted but I'm going to check justjared. I liked the People article. I thought Kate she showed restraint compared to what she could have said. The picture with the boys would have been cute if she hadn't had a on a dress with cowboy boots--such a tacky look. She would have looked much better in jeans.

I think Kate's tone in this article was foreshadowing what she would be saying in the future: that it's her house, she does everything for the kids, and they are better off with her and away from him. She paints a veeerrrry ugly picture of Jon (and I have to add, this is something that Jon has not done to her -- yet)

I wouldn't expect any different from a parent approaching a custody battle -- it's just that this is all playing out publicly, by her choice. What surprises me is that the article restates many of the stories that were previously just tabloid fodder, most of which Jon has publicly denied -- does them printing these in People make them more valid?

Really? I thought she trashed him up one page and down the other. She didn't have to say anything about him at all. If Jon had discussed how Kate chooses to do interviews rather than spending time with the kids or other things we have criticized her for here, would you be as generous? Or would you think Jon should have kept those comments private?

IMO, people who sympathize with Kate and/or dislike Jon are going to think that pretty much everything Kate says about Jon is true and is worthy of publication. I'm not a fan of either one of them, so I think I'm seeing the differences in people's comments more.

Looks like Jon's PR firm has chosen the Stephanie Santoro issue as the battle to fight this week:
http://www.sawfnews.com/Gossip/59355.aspx

ie. Jon's rep is quoted as saying Jon is not dating the babysitter

Is it just me, or does this not sound terribly professional, especially coming from a top NYC firm?

"Stephanie Santoro is a babysitter that he hired, she has a kid of her own," the rep said. "[Jon] thought she was good with children so he hired her for help. He is not dating her. She's helping him. He is dating Hailey Glassman."

I don't agree that it's just because I am a fan of Kate's (and I have felt that you were more a fan of Jon, so I guess I'd have to say the same of the opposite, that you have been harder on Kate).

I see a person who is sad that the marriage ended up this way and I do feel bad for her. If I sympathize more for her, than Jon, it's because this isn't the first time I've seen a marriage go like this, and I've thught this one was going downhill for a long time. I don't see that in Jon, I think he just feels yippee, I'm free, only now I have money. I see a person (in Jon) who has shown us in the shows as a much different person than what he is showing now, where I don't see Kate much different. I really didn't see that she ripped him up one way and down another in that article. I saw her saying what she believes is happening with Jon, and since she is right there, I believe she believes the tabloid fodder. I think we haven't heard much from him, because Kate isn't out with several different guys, isn't out partying (and I see that for myself).

I'm with you Madge. Not written very professional.

Perhaps you see me as a fan of Jon's because I'm not supporting Kate. I have pointed out ALL of the things I thought he did wrong, including twice saying he should have kept his mouth shut re the police thing the other day.

IMO, just because he doesn't cry publicly and it has only been noted once that he was devastated by the break-up, that doesn't necessarily mean that Kate is the only one hurt by this. There are 2 parents who now have half as much time with their kids, and him being a SAHD for the past while (much of it when Kate was away), I'm sure he's missing his kids too.

I disagree with you re what he is putting out there publicly -- he hasn't commented on her much at all, except to put it out there that she was the one who called off the marriage. As for all of the things he's been accused of, I'm just not one to believe every tabloid story written about somebody -- so in my eyes, they're not enough to determine my opinion of somebody. As for saying the tabloid articles being the equivalent of him talking about matters which would better be left private eg. the kids' reactions to the divorce, I just don't think it's the same at all.

Also JMHO, Kate saying that Jon has changed when he's saying that's the person he has always been is very much the same as them keeping the separation quiet for so long, and part of the reason TLC is letting her do the interviews making such statements -- "just Jon" and the separate living arrangements don't fit the storyline they've been feeding us over the past year.

almost sounds like Jon, with help, wrote it. and you know what? it wouldn't surprise me. they scribble something out at the kitchen table and run it down to the fence. :lmao:
