I got the impresssion that the kids' party was at the house. I just assumed it was in the yard. Where did it say they were at a park? I guess I missed something.

The house does have a pool. I don't think they have showed it on the show, but when the real estate listing was floating around there was definately a pool.

In all seriousness I think it has to do with the fact that TLC/J&K don't want to show how big the house really is and that they have a pool. I could be wrong, but they have only done tight shots of the house thus far and no talk of the pool.

I've seen the entire house and the pool, when someone posted the google earth shots.

Yes, because you follow them on the internet. There are a lot of people that don't, like my Mom and her friends. I also have some friends in my playgroup that are only casual viewers of the show and have no clue how big the house really is...

Yes, I know it is on the internet. What about the people that aren't on the internet? How are they going to know how big the house is/pool? Has it ever been on the show or in a magazine?

I don't know if it's ever been shown in a magazine, that's a good question. I don't think it's ever been on the show. Like you said, it's always tight shots of the house. Geez, if I went by that footage I'd think the only rooms they have are the kitchen and front foyer! I don't believe the pool has ever been mentioned. Weird huh? The old house we saw every nook and cranny including the little tups sitting on their potties in the laundry room! Maybe you're right, they don't want people to know just how big it is.

Why the heck did they not have this small little party at their house? The yard is big enough for a stupid moon bounce. From these pictures, it looks like outside the 8 Gosselins, there are only 5 other kids there (that is what I could count) There are definately only 5 moms standing behind the cameras watching.

Where did they come up with 5 kids that wanted to come to the party? 5 moms that allowed their kids to come? 5 seperate families that they have not written off yet. My guess is that one was the bodyguards kid, and the rest belong to camera men or were found in the park and paid to attend the party.

I actually heard, that people paid to go to the birthday party, and the Gosselins were giving the proceeds to charity. So I guess we will find out when they show the epidsode.

you can pay to see Kate talk at the Ronald McDonald House where they did the give back thing last year -- this weekend, I think? they're donating those proceeds to charity, too.

I hope it's a rumor that people had to pay to attend the tups b-day. That would be really tacky even if you give the $ to charity.

You know, I just thought of something...why aren't Beth and her kids at the party or Jodi & Kevin with their kids? They all live close by and yet weren't there? Remember the carnival b-day for the tups? Nana Janet was there, Kevin & Jodi, Beth and Bob.

That is just not right. If they want to give to charity, give to charity out of your own pocket. Don't use your childrens birthday party as fund raiser. Don't use your septuplets as "the main attraction" or a spectacle that one needs to pay to see like at a freak show. It would be different if they invited friends and said "in lieu of gifts, please consider donating to ____ charity" but to just have people pay to come and gawk? WEIRD! They don't have friends, so they had to get customers.

The picture of Cara crying at the birthday party makes me want to weep for her. She is 8 1/2 years old...my daughter is the same age. She would be humiliated to cry in front of ANYONE...let alone in front of cameras, an entire party, and essentially the millions of TLC viewers. And Kate's overly dramatic eye-rolling was so nurturing. It breaks my heart for Cara. I can just imagine what these past few weeks have been like for her, and Mady.
I can only hope that Kate and Jon use their power of veto to keep Cara's moment of humiliation off the air. That poor kid.

My DH watches this show from time to time. I have only seen 2 episodes and was put off by how the little ones spoke. To me for their age their vocabulary should of been broader. It seemed to me that they were talked AT instead of talked with. I got flamed for even saying that. That being said I guess I will tune in this season to see how it plays out in the marriage. I already think they both are horrible parents but that is JMHO.

My question is what channel is TLC on Direct TV? LOL I don't watch that so have no clue.

Cool thanks, I just set the tivo to record all episodes so I have alot of catching up to do. I will just try and ignore the fact that the kids can't speak properly.
