OMG - You didn't seriously just say that!! Unless your are the prescribing Dr, you know nothing. He didn't look "high" to me at all, just a worn out guy who didn't want to be infront of a camera anymore.

Fair enough. I should have said he LOOKED that way to me. Worn out, not wanting to continue with the show...without a doubt.

Ok, picture it - You have EIGHT kids - a husband that makes probably about $60-$80 a year, your not working, and you have to worry about feeding and keeping a roof over your huge families heads. Now all of the sudden, someone shows up on your doorstep offering you $25,000 - $75,000 per week, plus you get all the perks, and you know that other things my come from this, like you writing a book, etc. Your telling me that you wouldn't give it a second thought? That you know what could come from it (paparazzi and negative press), but you know (hope and pray is more like it) your better, and stronger than the rest, and you will come through this with flying colors, etc. No one is better than anyone else, and you don't know whats going on till your in their shoes, so don't be so small minded as to say that your better than anyone. You don't really know what you would say/do untill your there.

Do you seriously think you are going to get an honest answer to that question? Valiant effort, though!

Wow, small minded. I did not know you knew me personally to say that. I know for a fact I would not put my kids on tv because it has been asked of me to put my son in a movie during a time when we thought we were going to lose our house and cars so I do have some idea what it is like to struggle. I did not pursue him to be in that situation, someone asked without him additioning or anything, I do not allow my kids to do that. Am I in the same situation as they are, no I am not. But I know for a fact I would not do that.

And before you call someone small minded you might want to realize what you are saying because it can seem that infact it was you that was small minded. And Yes I still stand behind the fact that I am better then Kate.

It was already taped, prob before it hit the fan with Jon, when they could both still pretend it was going to be alright. There are pictures out of them riding their bikes.

Jon is not the normal sahd. Many sahd's are such because they may not be able to work for wome reason, or mom rakes in a lot more or they are unemployed (along with other reasons). Jon seems to have a lot of freedom in his roll. He gets to party, spend time with his mom (because he prob couldn't afford to hire her some help LOL) go to Utah (did he have company other than his daughter? I thought he did on one of his Utah trips) and take part in many of the wonderful trips, that I doubt he could have done with one of his IT jobs. He really seems to like his new motorcycle. He wants the best of all worlds. He wants what the money can buy, but he doesn't want his wife out earning it (and I"m sure her touring helps the show).

Again, go back if you tivo'd them and listen carefully to the past shows. He was quiet, but he certainly got his digs in (althoug the editing plays those down), and I have a clear picture of what he thinks of Kate and has for a long time. I'm surprised Kate is as confident as she looks, I would feel belittled, just like he seems to. They do not seem to be a good match.

One other comment I made about this show, back on thread one, I believe, is that these little kids seem to hit a lot (and yell). I don't remember my kids doing that. Or...is this just what TLC wants us to believe?

Again, it's edited for ratings. The other show, with the sextuplets and policeman dad is prob edited for 'sweetness'. They call it a reality show, but the reality is what we will turn on to watch. I bet the sweet show isn't doing as well in the ratings.

As for Jon's appearance, he looks like he's been partying and/or hasn't gotten much sleep. I didn't get the sense that he's upset the marriage is broken up. He prob figures his portion will keep him awhile, without having to get a 'real' job. He can party with no consequences.

It is sort of ironic that the Orange County Choppers, "The Tuttle's" are doing a show with Jon and Kate and family. Maybe Kate is buying a "chopper for Jon". The Tuttle's, usually deliver the bike in person, so I'm wondering who is going to get a bike.

But does anyone watch "Orange County Choppers"? Paul Sr. has fired Paul Jr. from the shop. They have tried counseling, and neither one can change their ways or habits. They miss each other, but they cannot work with each other. Paul Sr. has continued with the show, even though he supposeable has retired.
Paul Sr. and Jr. argue and fight horribly on past shows, yet these two don't have blogs, papparazi following them. As of now, they are estranged from each other. Paul Jr. is opening a bougtique store for his wife. I don't know why he don't open his own shop, but I'm guessing it has to do with something.

I'll answer honestly. I'd go for it. I hope I would have the foresight to invest well and not have to do it forever, I hope I would end it if I felt it was hurting my family... but honestly, I would go for the financial security.

It says that the little one isn't included and he looks pretty mad about it. I know if my child looked like that I'd go over and pick him up and sit him on my new bike, I wouldn't care what *shot* they had to get, they'd get the one with me and my kid.

Yes, she is going to get an honest answer. I am not a Kate and Jon basher, I have enjoyed the show like so many other and I have disagreed with the show like many others. I am not a liar and I don't like the idea of you saying I would be.

I have been a fan of the show since it was only on in the form of specials prior to the series. That being said the last year has been a struggle to enjoy. it was no longer how a normal family deal with this situation. It was how do we milk this for all its worth? Kate's larger than life mouth just got bigger and bigger as did her ego.

Its interestingt o go back and read some editoral comments from their local papers. Its very enlightening. Kate is by no means the person she tries to appear to be.

Jon made it clear at the end of last season he no longer wanted to continue the show. But Kate choses the show over keeping her family together. Advice: If family is your priority. Stop the show and focus on your family instead of your personal trainer, spa, tanning bed, etc.

ITA. Jon did not want to continue with the show - Kate did. Whatever Kate says goes. I feel sorry for both of them but Kate has EIGHT kids and needs to be home, not trapsing all over the country, and work on her marriage. She was crying last night and said something along the lines of she needed to stop cause she was ruining her makeup Poor Kate.

And I have seen a bunch of people complaining that Kate does nto let the kids be kids. Then why is he allowed on a bike? That's being a kid isn't it? And when they had the going green special, they were outside playing in those boxes all day. That looks like being kids to me. Is the current definition of being a kid meaning cooped up inside all day so mommy can hover over them every single second?

Oh and for the record, I have no idea whether Jon cheated on Kate or not. The photos were incriminating to say the least but it does not mean he had sex with her. Maybe an emotional affair? Maybe not. I don't think any married man should have put himself in the position that Jon put himself in (out at a bar at 2 a.m., pictured with another woman etc.). Have some respect for your kids, your wife, yourself and even the girl for God's sakes. So yeah, I agree with kate when she said that Jon had made some bad decisions. I also think she admitted to treating him badly and the past and now is regretting it. Why didn't she stop a long time ago? I have no idea why. It never works to treat a loved one that way. And that goes for both of them.

We're an electronic age and this is the first time we've seen something played out like this in front of us. We can all agree to disagree, but when we make it personal, we will get shut down

Mine is..... Truthfully, I think I may try it out for one season. See what happens, see if we wanted to do it again. My babies are the most important thing in the world to me, but lets face it - its money that make the world go around. I need money to give my girls what they need, and what they want.
Plus, if I do say mean things to my DH (and I do at times) I so would NOT be saying them on camera - that is one thing I've learned from Kate. Keep the nasty b**** comments for when no one is around hun!

Kate is obviously much stronger than Jon. She faced the situation head on and addressed the media honestly. I am sure she is hard to live with yadda yadda yadda..but Jon is weak and blaming everyone but himself. He said he didn't want to do the show anymore but yet he continues to do the interviews? Why doesn't he just stop and let Kate do it? He wants and needs the money! How else is he going to support that sportscar driving college bar hanging life he so feels he deserves after staying home what? 1-2 years?

I applaude Kate for what she is doing. The whole situation is very sad but she must continue to be the strong supportive parent because they will need it.

What is so sad is life was just about to get easier for both of them when school starts for them. They made it through the roughest of years and now they fall apart. I hope they find a way to make it work.

A part of me believes all of this could be for ratings! At the end of the season they make up or something like that.
