Joining Rooms

Has anyone requested joining rooms and not gotten them?

We have requested connecting rooms and not gotten them, but we were given adjoining rooms so we were still close together. At that time my family members were all adults so it wasn't that big of a deal. As they say when you book, nothing is guaranteed. Hopefully you will get your request.

Just for clarity, in the hotel business adjoining rooms are next to each other (sometimes across the hall) with no interior door between rooms. Connecting rooms do have an interior door between rooms. For almost all hotels there is only a small inventory of connecting rooms. To get them the party (parties)in both rooms have to check out on the same day and it has to be the same day as the arriving party (parties). This is much harder to manage at a place like Disney that has parties staying 2,3,4,5,6,7 or even 10 nights. So, sure there will be lots of folks who haven't gotten them at Disney even though they do try their best. Disney really shouldn't guarantee it considering how difficult it is to do.
