Joining a cruise in middle of our trip - API Q

Hi everyone

I am just having a paranoid moment about the Advance Passenger Information that I have submitted to VA

Half way through my trip I am going on a cruise for three days but when asked on the API form if I am staying in the U.S or joining a cruise I have said that I am staying in the U.S

Should I have ticked the box that says joining a cruise

I suppose that technically I am not staying in the U.S for the full two weeks

Not sure that I can even change it at this late stage but I don't want to run into any problems at immigration.

When I am at immigration and they ask me what my plans are do I tell them about the cruise in a week's time or not if it isn't on the API form?

Am I over thinking this

We have done 6 cruises now, never ticked joining a cruise, I assumed that was going straight to the port.
I have never gone into so much detail as discussing my cruises with an immigration officer, they usually just ask how long we are staying.

The closer I get to the trip the more I start to second guess everything

Anyway, tickets arrived from VH yesterday (it's DIY for the next trip thanks to you!) and I have just checked into the hotel on line and even done on-line check in for our hire car

10 days to go !!!!!!
