I want to lose 44 pounds. I bought the ten weeks of coupons and I feel very motivated! Who else here belongs to WW?

good for you - you can do it - definately a step in the right direction
WISH is a big help in keeping motivated - hang around and that 44lbs will be off before you know it

So whats for breakfast?

Breakfast-
1 cup of Raisin Bran
1/2 cup of milk (skim)
1/2 of a sliced banana

How does that sound? I'm also going to go buy some WW frozen dinners to keep on hand for lunches and some desserts for treats. We are going to WDW on September 30 and I want to lose 15 pounds or so before then!

Way to go! Making that first step is huge!! You CAN do it!!

Melissa

Hi Melissa,

Your breakfast looks great. I don't like breakfast so I skip it, or just have a banana.

I've done WW three other times and always been succesful, this time I've lost 9 pounds in the last month and a half, slow but the scale is moving down not up!

I am on WW but I am doing the program on my own and using WISH for my support group. I really love the program and I hope you will too.

As for those frozen dinners - maybe others have had good luck with the Smart Ones but I have not found a single one that I like. I find that the Healthy Choice and Lean Cuisine meals are so much tastier and they even print the WW points value for the meal on the boxes as well.

Hello and welcome to WISH!

Congrats on joining WW! I didn't join officially, but I used an old WW recipe book to follow the program and I lost 21 pounds (see my signature).

You can do it! I love the WW program. Check out Dotties Weight Loss Zone for some great WW points information! :)

to WISH! I also do WW on my own and use WISH for my support system! Summer is crazy but I look forward to more WISH time once school starts :)

Did you notice there is a WISH journal thread - that may be a good place if you want to post your meals and let other WWers comment? just an idea ;)

Today my brekkie is:
2/3 c raisin bran
1/2 c soy milk vanilla
sliced strawberries

yum yum yum!!!!!

I'm in the 18-23 pt range so your portions would reflect your pt range. That is a 4 pt breakfast for me

I love the smart ones! In fact I like all of them that I've tried. One of the chinese varieties is pretty garlicy if you're eating at work ;) I don't usually buy the meat/potato ones, but I like the pizza or BBQ pockets, szchaun (sp?) varieties and their pasta ones. I'm sorry I haven't bought recently and can't remember their exact names. I did really like LC veggie rotini but it was 6 pts and I try to keep them at 4 or 5.

Also, try Smart Ones ice cream treats!! very yum for 2 pts!!

I have a word doc that I cut and pasted some snacks and their pt value, pm me with your email address if you'd like it.

I love the smart ones..

My fav is the Raviloi Florentine, if it's too acidic, jut put a dash of sweetner in it !

ANd I like the HC Pizzas, and yep the points are righ ton them!

I never got my breakfast this morning! I was running around getting my ds ready for summer school- then came home did the dishes and some laundry and now it's almost 10:00! Should I eat or just wait now for lunch?

I really enjoy the WW pizzas and the pocket sandwiches look pretty good too!

I don't always eat breakfast so sometimes I get a snack around 9-10. If you don't want a full breakfast then maybe just grab a piece of fruit or something else small to tide you over until lunch. That way you won't be starving and eat too much at lunch.

I have to admit that I have not tried the Smart Ones in about 3 years. I hated all of the ones I tried so I never looked back. Have they changed and now they are better or am I just the strange one?

Did we have breakfast together? LOL! I started WW last week and I have eaten your EXACT breakfast a couple of times already. I lost 3 pounds last week. I just love the whole points idea. It is easy to follow.:D You'll like it. I never felt like I was starving myself..

Another WW here!!

Breakfast was a whole wheat english muffin (2 pts) in the car, with a banana (2 pts) and skim milk (2 pts) mid morning!

I love Smart Ones, too. I keep several in the freezer all the time, and grab them to take to work. The pastas are my favorites.

I'm a WW'er too!

I love WW's! It's so easy to follow, especially once you have done it for a while. Last year, and probably the first month of my weight loss this year, I did the Lean Cusine/Smart Ones/Healthy Choice meals for lunch when I was at work. They are easy when you are first learning because they don't require much thought. For the past few weeks, I have tried to cut down on the processed foods I eat, so I have been eating more salads for lunch.

My usual breakfast is Kashi Go Lean cereal. I have started adding a piece of 1 point fruit to this in the morning. Other things I have liked that are low point breakfast's are: oatmeal, light english muffin and 1 tbsp peanut butter, scrambled egg (2pts) with 1/8 cup fat free cheese (.5), and mushrooms (touch of milk added to make it flufier). Cooked in the microwave.

Welcome, and congrats on joining.

Melanie

I follow WW too and I really like it. I can still eat foods I like but I measure them now and I don't feel deprived. I've been back on WW for 4 weeks and exercising 4 times a week (for the most part) and I've lost 10 pounds. I think you'll like the program and good luck!

I'm having a good week...... staying on program.... some nice walks.... still motivated (and yes I have lost motivation in a day before!)

I totaled up my points last night after dinner and realized I needed 3 more to hit my minimum! I wasn't hungry, but had a 3 point snack anyway. Should I have? Is it that important to hit that minimum if you are satisfied?

I think it's important to eat at least your minimum. You don't want your body to go into "starvation mode" by eating too FEW calories! :)

Hang in there! YOU KNOW YOU CAN DO IT!!! :)

I also go to WW. It's a really great program ... I like that you can eat most kinds of food, as long as it's in moderation :p

Keep us posted on your progress!
