I haven't been feeling too great about myself lately. My weight loss seemed to slow and then come to a complete stop. That was to be expected, but after awhile I was bummed about it and started to eat the naughty stuff. I can't say that the surgery wasn't a success, it was! Dropping over 135 lbs. was great, but I'd like to lose some more.

So, I decided to try a completely different tactic. After being on a very low carb diet for so long, and then cheating (and gaining 7 lbs back) I decided to join WW with my Mom.

It's day 1, and so far so good, I guess. I'm going to treat myself to some sashimi tonight since the point totals on them is so low.

I'm also back to drinking water. The severe cold had made me ignoring the water, but it's obvious I need it.

I joined the 5 lbs. in Feb. challenge, and I'll see what happens at next week's WW meeting. Hopefully this will work. ;)

Congratulations on your 135 lb. weight loss and congratulations on your new journey. I think that so far I can tell that Weight Watchers really does teach you to eat right, even cheating once in a while. Let's be honest, nobody can be perfect all the time.

Good luck, and keep us posted with your progress!

I joined on Feb. 1. I refuse to go to Disney this fat. So I am starting an excerise program and also going to stick with WW. I know it works. I am doing the flex plan. Works better with my schedule.

Yea!!! As you can probably tell from my siggy, I love WW!!! It definitely works!!!! :flower: Congrats on your weight loss so far - that is awesome! If you ever have any questions about WW, please feel free to PM me. I'm not an expert, but I am a WW fanatic, and I'm a receptionist for WW 3 days a week. Also, you can check out the WW website. The message boards there are a great resource whenever you have questions or need ideas - and by all means keep WISH-ing!!! :wizard: Please let us know how your next weigh-in goes! :cheer2:

I started doing WW on Jan 3 and I have lost 8.8 lbs so far. :) I have been so happy with the program and the emphasis on healthy foods - especially fiber filled ones. Give Kashi products a try. Right now I am really enjoying trying all their products. They really help keep you full and satisfied for quite a while with the combo of protein and fiber. I am learning a lot about portion control and making the best choices for getting the biggest bang for my buck! Best of luck and don't forget to check in on the WW weigh in thread.:)

I definately LOVE LOVE weight watchers. I got to goal on WW last year and I'm my way back to goal now. There is such flexibility with WW's! I can eat my pizza and still loose weight. It's about having things in moderation.

One thing I have learned though is that keeping the junk (no nutrional value) things out of my diet leaves more room to eat the stuff I should be eating like Milk, fruit etc. This week I even started eating avocado's! I had one last night and it really filled me up. I think the more time you do weight watcher's the more you learn to evolve your eating into healthier habits. To me it's something I know I can do forever.

I just joined WW recently and am going into my 3rd week. I am using the flex plan because that's what is better for me (and my family!). Which did you choose, flex or core? Going to the meetings and hearing the success stories has been great. Both programs seem to work well. Good luck with WW.

I think you will enjoy it, especially getting those forbidden carbs back into your diet! :earboy2:

Congratulations on so much success already!

I love  WW. Through the years I have tried just about everything but I always resisted WW. I don't know why. I joined WW at Work in September and have had the best success in changing my way of eating of any plan I've tried. I know this is it for me. I will be a "lifer"!!!!!!

Have you joined our WW Weekly WI thread yet? If not, be sure to stop by. Its a great thread :)

Another WW fan here. First time around I dropped 45 pounds, then stopped going. I rejoined and have lost 6.6 since Thanksgiving. It doesn't seem like alot, but that was through all the holidays so I feel great about it. I love the meetings and have learned that i don't need to eat junk food when I have the munchies...there are so many other choices.

Congratulations on making such a healthy lifestyle choice!! I, too, am a WW fan. Lost 49.2 pounds over the course of a year and a half 3 1/2 years ago, before my heart condition got out of control. Was really disappointed to gain most of that back with 2 sedentary years, but am back on plan now and LOVING it. I really enjoy the flex plan and have made a game of planning menus and meals and shopping for healthy foods. Feel free to PM me if you have any questions -- I use e-tools, so I love building recipes and calculating points.

Hi Baileymouse!
You have done so well after your surgery! What does your doctor say about your weight loss? I am sure it is completely normal for things to slow down, especially after such a great loss!
Give yourself some time with WW. You may experience some 'carb shock' if you jump too heavily into them. You are a TRUE SUCCESS story! I know you are going to do well. :Pinkbounc
