John, that entry is excellent. I am an ebayer, have been using it for many years and recently started selling stuff myself when I wanted a new Nintendo DS. I was selling old games, Beanie Babies and T-shirts although one thing I've vowed I'd never sell on eBay is my pin collection as it is far too valuable to me.

That entry is incredibly useful to those who haven't got into "eBaying" yet.

One thing, eBay does not charge a percentage of the listing fee before hand, but they have a set fee depending on what the catagory the item is in, but the final fee (if sold) is a percentage, again, the percentage level depending on the the item. Well, thats at least how ebay.co.uk does it, so I'd presume the same.

I'm a sporadic eBayer, and have found it very convenient for raising money while cleaning out my closets. I have to find some more stuff to sell now...maybe that humongous KitchenAid mixer (with all attachments) that's been gathering dust in my cellar.

Thanks for the entry, John. My DH is a part-time ebayer, but he sticks to electronics and computers. I guess my problem is finding stuff to sell. It seems like I don't have much of value that would be of any interest on ebay.

BUT - this gives me the push to try and find a few things. Anything I can do to clear out the house while simultaneously funding a Disney trip is worth time and thought!

John, Great blog! Ebaying is a great way for people to raise some Disney Cash. In these economic times every little bit of extra helps. I know I plan on listing a few things to help fund our upcoming WDW trips.

I havent ebayed in some time but want to get back into it.. I have plenty of things around the house that I could stand to get rid of..

One thing that I have done in the past is to go garage saleing for items and selling them on ebay.. You have to know what kinds of things tend to sell but alot of times its name brand kids clothing and baby items alot of times sell really good..

This is very similar to what my sisters did for a long time a couple of years ago. They'd go to car boot sales, School fete's and the like trawling for hidden treasures to put on eBay. There is even a local charity event that is held anually here for the RSPCA and for last couple of years they've had a disney stall, full of seconds and/or left over merchendise from the disney store. Very fun.
