I've been scoping a Groupon deal for Johnny Rockets in Anaheim for a while, and it's set to leave Groupon soon, so I need to make up my mind. I'm always open to cheap eats, and it looks like a pretty good deal. Fun, hokey atmosphere (we went to one in Florida), and the burgers are pretty good. The deal is for a $20 gift certificate, you pay $12. Would it be awful for me to buy one, then ask my mom and brother to each buy one as well (they're travelling with us), and then we all use it? Do places even let you use multiple Groupon certificates at the same table, even if we're paying separately?

I've read the fine print and I still can't figure out if it'll let me do this. I certainly don't want to waste my money if they wouldn't. Please let me know if you've used Groupon restaurant certificates to get the most bang for you buck, and tell me if it worked for you!

I would contact customer service. To be safe.

In my experience with Groupon ( I buy them a lot) you are only allowed to use one per visit. By the way it specifically states on the Johnny rocket Groupon you are only allowed to use one per visit.

Do you think if I used one for me and my husband and kids, and then my mom ordered and paid separately for her and my brother's meal, we could use them both?

We used Groupon a couple years ago for Johnny Rockets in N. Myrtle Beach. We had 3. We used one for me DH and DS, my parents used another for their meal and my MIL used another for her and my niece. As long as you all pay separately, it's not an issue in my experience.

Thank you! That's exactly what I wanted to know. I'll have my mom buy one today.

Let us know how this goes because I have never tried to have more than one in my party use them even if we are paying separately because it says you can't do it. Now, if its for a retail store or event I do just never done it in a restaurant.

I definitely will. I guess if they don't let us, they don't let us. We'll just choose wisely off the menu, and even if we can't use both of our discount certificates, it will have saved us money on that meal, so that's a win, right?

Same here - I've never tried using more than one groupon at a table. That's often because it stipulates only one groupon per table. However, if the restaurant allows it as one Groupon per order, it sounds like a good deal.

Does "order" mean only my meal? Or could order mean I order my food and my son's on the same ticket and use the Groupon for both?

I think it means per transaction/ticket. When will you guys be going? Now I'm wondering what kind of discounts I could use... I've also seen a Groupon for Buca De Beppo. Not sure its still there but I did see one... I was thinking on buying the Buca one & also buying gift cards for Buca from Costco for even more savings as we have 5 in our family 2 being teenage boys....

Our trip is June 18-26th. We're driving from Lubbock, TX to Williams, AZ that first day, staying the night in Williams on the 18th. Seeing the Grand Canyon the next morning. I've looked for deals and discounts for all over. Albuquerque restaurants, Williams, Anaheim, LA, Santa Monica, basically anywhere our crew will be crossing through!

I found a discount for tickets to the Santa Monica Pier. I found the Johnny Rockets groupon. I found deals on our Williams hotel through Priceline. I'm always looking on those sites to find deals.

Seems like I saw the Buca discount too.... I don't remember if it was Groupon or not. If it's still available, I would CERTAINLY consider buying it and then getting discounted cards at Costco for the difference.

Costco has a 4 pack unlimited rides wristband for Santa Monica Pier for $59.99 & Buca $100 you pay $75 not a bad price.... Yeah you can combine a Buca Groupon or coupon if you sign up for their eclub they always send $10 coupons. Its $35 savings... Can't beat that... Check restaurant.com as well. We bought the house of blues in downtown Disney I paid $20 for a $50 gift certificate. Its required to spend $100 but with 5 of us that's not hard to do & I get to eat a nice dinner & save $30. Check mousesavers.com under meals, snacks & drinks for more dining deals.
