Amber Heard gave an interview, to be aired this Friday. One of her arguments why she lost is because Johnny Depp is a good actor. I can't help, but I it read as:. "He is a better actor than me."

People are far more understanding of someone who owns their mistakes. JD got on the stand and talked about his problems and drug use, whereas AH denied everything. That’s not even about the actual evidence. He obviously had better lawyers. Hers should have advised her better.

I think Amber Heard side would have been much better off not bringing up as many instances as they did. I have a feeling he probably was abusive in instances and even if she was truly was the worse of the two all she had to prove was that he was abusive. However I think she fealt that was not enough and tried to make him look like the total wrecking ball of the relationship so as to keep her image as acceptable as possible. But by fabricating so much I think they gave the jury no option but to say she was lying to some degree, and then how do you decide the dgree.

I get the feeling that her legal team did give her good advice but she didn’t want to listen to them, instead she was telling them what to do. And yes, Johnny’s team was better. I’m glad Camille Vasquez was made a partner in the firm, she is so good at what she does!

She claimed many instances of abuses and yet had zero proof. Not only did she not have proof, there was evidence to show the contrary. Every single one of her allegation saying that Johnny hit her, she was photographed the next day or 2 with absolutely no marks on her. She claimed that he broke her nose and yet was photographed the next day looking perfect. No makeup is going to cover up a busted up face. She lied about everything. I don't doubt that they got into nasty arguments, but I don't believe for 1 second that Johnny hit her in any way. There is no way with how she liked to take pictures and photos of everything that she would not have even 1 credible photo of injuries. I think that she tried really hard to get him to hit her over the years.

If you mean Amber I believe Dr Curry that she has Borderline Personality Disorder and Histrionic Personality Disorder. Up to 40% of patients with BPD also have Narcissistic Personality Disorder. So, while you are right I think it goes deeper than that.
If you mean Camille Vasquez (your post wasn’t clear) what makes you think that?

I agree, she is much more then just narcissistic. The people that have what AH has, the Borderline and histrionic personality disorders are on another level. It's not that the think that they are great and always right, like narcissistic people, they are cunning and conniving to the point where it is frightening to be known to them. I worked with a person like this and it is indescribable how they spend their whole life using people to get what they want. They do this by any means necessary. They will turn into the perfect person and then start to manipulate you and turn it into a bullying and abusive situation. I watched the trial and everything that AH did to Johnny, the way she talked, her expressions, her twisting of words, I have seen first hand from the person that I worked with. They are scary and they will go to any length to ruin your life if you tick them off.

OMG NOT CAMILLE Camille is a rock star! Amber! Amber is a narcissist. Yes I know she is MANY other things but the narcissist part of it is the part that makes her go against council.... cause she knows better. She is right. They are wrong.

I just cringed watching the snippets we saw yesterday. But then I also laugh... she is digging her grave and at some point if she isn't shoved into it she'll just fall in because the damn hole she is digging just keeps getting bigger and bigger.

Ok, I didn't really follow what has happened before, during and after the trial. But I have a question: Amber writes an opinion piece about domestic abuse. Johnny says 'that is about me, you defamed me'. Amber disagrees and says 'you defamed me'. The whole courtcase was about who defamed who, did I understand that correctly?
If all the abuse is true, did Amber ever take Johnny to court for the abuse?

You've got it correct in your understanding.

Heard, to my knowledge, never filed a criminal complaint. That would be the first step to any criminal charges being filed against Depp. Removing they specific individuals for a moment, I don't think it's that uncommon for domestic abuse victims to not choose to file a complaint since it could escalate their situation or they think the relationship is salvageable or whatever...sad but true. I'm not suggesting that's why Heard didn't do it, just explaining the way it happens sometimes. After a complaint, then it's up to the authorities to decide to move forward with actual charges.

And I don't think she sued him for any alleged abuse (which would be a different legal standard of guilt and be in "civil court" rather than a criminal situation) -- but given the impending divorce and settling that, perhaps she thought that money would be sufficient or whatever.

I'm sure people who know more will chime in (I probably couldn't have told you he was married to her if you'd asked me a year ago). But wanted to confirm your understanding.

The Heard/Depp case underscores the fact that people need to take the time to get to know each other before agreeing to get married. So many do not. Take the time! If unsure, the answer is don't.

I agree that people need to get to know each other before marrying but I don’t think this case underscores that. They started dating in 2012 and didn’t marry until early 2015. Johnny said their relationship was great for the first 1 to 1 1/2 years and that’s when the abuse started so sometime in 2013 or early 2014. They got engaged in 2014 so Johnny knew that Amber was abusive before they married.
I had a friend who did this. She and her ex dated for 6 months and then lived together for a year before marrying. He was abusive to her the whole time so she knew who he was. She said she thought she could change him (she was young and naive).
