John Travolta's son died, How sad

Saw this today. Don't know if you all are fans or not but it's sad no matter what.

Rand Memorial Hospital in the Bahamas tells TMZ the son of John Travolta died today.

We're told 16-year-old Jett was vacationing with Travolta and wife Kelly Preston. We do not know the circumstances of his death.

There have been reports that Jett was autistic, though Travolta has denied it, saying he suffers from Kawasaki Syndrome, a condition which often leads to heart disease.

UPDATE: 4:00 PM ET -- Travolta's attorney Michael Ossi says Jett suffered a seizure at his family's vacation home at the Old Bahama Bay Hotel on Grand Bahama Island. Attempts to revive him were unsuccessful and he died on scene.

NASSAU, Bahamas - Police in the Bahamas say John Travolta's teenage son has died after injuring himself at the actor's vacation home.

Police spokeswoman Loretta Mackey says 16-year-old Jett Travolta hit his head in a bathtub Friday morning. She said he was declared dead at Rand Memorial Hospital on Grand Bahama Island.

Jett was the oldest child of Travolta and his wife, actress Kelly Preston, who also have an 8-year-old daughter.

A spokeswoman for the hospital in Freeport said she could not release any information because of privacy concerns.

and yes the death of any child is so sad. I have a teenage son and can't imagine the pain they are dealing with right now.

I remember reading awhile ago that in Kelly Prestons first marriage with another actor they had a son. I have never heard anything about him (the child). Does anyone know?

She was married to Kevin Gage 1986-88 but I never read of another child.
