I'm going with Mitchel McDeere. As a pre-teen, the firm was my FAVORITE book! I wanted to be a lawyer just like him, to have a big office, house and sports car... Somehow I glossed over the whole 'corrupt', murdering part of the book and only took in how cool it was to be a lawyer. I made it through pre-Law in college before realizing it wasn't for me. haha

I should add that John Grisham is my favorite author and I have read every single one of his books. I love him!

Rudy Baylor, then Darby Shaw, then Jake Brigance. I grew up reading these books and decided I wanted to be a laywer. I just graduated law school. It was nothing like a John Grisham book...they should come with a warning like cigarettes do, lol. Seriously though, I wish he would write books like he used to. I haven't read one in years that I really enoyed aside from the Innocent Man and that wasn't even fiction.
