I just don't get this. Why do you think Obama or Biden don't understand your life? Obama was raised by a single Mom and his grandparents, he got a good education but he never had a life of privilege. Biden was a single parent, he is hard working and commutes to work so he can be with his family everyday.

If we ever get to see Palin's tax records I think we will find she is not struggling to pay her bills.

I really don't want someone who is "average" to run this country. Do you think Bush ever understood the regular person? Everyone thought he'd be great to have a beer with and sadly we all found out that really isn't a good thing when it comes to being the POTUS.

Let's not fall into that trap again. We really do need to elect people who can lead. Truth is even if the POTUS would be fun to have a beer with that is not going to happen.

Bush is a former substance abuser (As is Obama) and doesn't drink alcohol anymore.

Joe Six Pack implies to me---- the guy that goes home and drinks a six pack after work. I think that is not just unhealthy, but a crappy asinine way to characterize American workers. Seriously. Joe Six Pack - the guy drinking heavily after work is a crappy father figure and goes against any decent image of our hard working men we should have.

If Palin winked at Joe Six Pack----he would be looking for a Hockey Mom Booty Call.

I know she is trying to be folksy/cutsey ---but that is against the image that I would like a leader of this country to project.

Yeah, see, this is exactly what I think. Low class, booty calls, cutesy...are not what I want my country's leaders to project either. Why are some people willing to accept this?

What a bizarre thing to say. I graduated from college, watch all the cable news channels and enjoy drinking beer. Do you think that anyone who enjoys an adult beverage that doesn't have an olive in it is a hick from the sticks?

And Palin is not my favorite, either, so my opinion is not really in defense of her. I don't think it is any more or less offensive than Obama constantly referring to the middle class as "folks". "Folks need a break on taxes". The guy went to Harvard and elite private schools and it seems trite, I doubt he ever used the word "folks" until he was running for office.

They care. They have empathy and they have the power to do something about it. BIG BIG BIG difference from the rich folks who sit around and say 'Ah, I wonder what the poor people are doing tonight! snort!' People who are having trouble paying their bills would not have the time to dedicate to governing. It's that simple, therefore we need people who care.
