Jodie Whittaker

She was fine, but the writing was for the most part awful. Dreary and preachy and she seemed to be forever rushing around breathlessly explaining the plot to her “fam”.

I’m a very casual Dr. Who fan, really just watching occasionally with my daughter, but I do agree with this. The series with Jodie Whittaker just weren’t as enjoyable. Matt Smith was also a bit manic, but there were generally better plot lines for his series. I liked David Tennant better than both of them. I haven’t watched as much of the older doctors.

I mainly watched the Jodie Whittaker Doctor Who because I had a major crush on Bradley Walsh and when I heard that he was gonna star in Doctor Who I jumped for joy and he was so nice as the character Graham O'Brien and from then on I would watch it every weekend just to see Bradley Walsh on it until we had to move from our house and so I got the DVD set of Jodie Whittaker's Doctor Who so I could keep up with the show when we were moving to our house. And during our move I had a hobby of collecting Doctor Who merchandise and I ended up with plushies bedding and jewelry and clothing of Doctor Who and I even carry a Tardis shaped purse when I would go shopping. I think why they cast Jodie Whittaker in Doctor Who was mainly so she could be more famous in the UK and perhaps try to make her popular in America and I can see why she became the most popular doctor of the Doctor Who series because Jodie has talent and she showed it well. My second favorite Doctor Who actor was Matt Smith because I thought he was cute and I started seeing Youtube clips of him and liked Matt even more and even got his plushie too. I thought Peter Capaldi was funny and he reminds me so much of Moon Knight when I see Peter's Doctor Who and it's a shame Peter left Doctor Who because he was funny and brought a funny side to Doctor Who. I still like the show today and still have my DVD sets and even a cookbook of Doctor Who too

I didn't like her era, mainly because the plots were so convoluted. She was fine, but I think she had too many companions as well...I think that Doctor Who is at it's best when the Doctor is one-on-one with a person. David Tennant will always be my Doctor, but I can't wait to see what Ncuti Gatwa brings to the role, especially now that Russell T. Davies is back at the helm as showrunner.
