Have you listened to the song 'Home' on the mini-CD we put in everyone's gift bag? I am surprised at how good it was - I was kind of hoping she would sing that - but happy with what she did sing.

Does Jodie sound different when she isn't singing Little Mermaid/Disney songs? Ariel's voice is very distinct to me and she didn't sound at all like Ariel in Enchanted, wondering how it is when she sings. Would you know it was Jodie Benson "voice of Ariel" if you didn't know it was Jodie Benson singing?

Yes. Very different. She talked about creating Ariel's voice for the audition.

Pretty sure Amy Adams did her own singing in Enchanted, as did James Marsden. Jodi Benson had a cameo in the film though.

Amy Adams and James Marsden did all their own singing for the film. Adams has a background in musical theater and Marsden has sung before in such works as "Ally McBeal" and the recent movie version of the musical "Hairspray". The only character whose singing voice was dubbed was the Troll. The speaking voice was provided by Fred Tatasciore, while his basso profundo singing voice was provided by Wilbur Pauley.

That was Amy Adams singing. Jodie Benson had a small part in the movie. She was Robert's secretary. She didn't sound at all like Ariel though, if I didn't know what she looked like I don't think I would have known it was her.
