Do most people get job offers after completing internships or CP? I know a few internships require you to be going back to school after... Does Disney stay in contact with you?

As a CP you can't stay on as a college student for any longer than a year. And no, Disney doesn't really go out of their way to stay in contact with you from my experience. But the whole entire point of the college program is so that you can hopefully, eventually get a full time job with them (or at least so they can weed out the bad from good workers and know who they want to keep).

From my experience if you do well on the CP, you have a very very good chance of landing a more full time career with them.

I wouldn't say you are guaranteed a job offer or that most people get them. Most of the time it is luck, say someone in your department is transferring or leaving and you are given a position. The most common that I've seen is staying on as Seasonal or Part Time and going Full Time when someone leaves. You gain senority PT or FT, and after six months, you can transfer out of your work location.

Several of the PIs are in small departments, so chances of a role being offered are slim, since they don't accommodate many people to begin with.

you can go seasonal after you are a CP and you can give them full availability but they don't want to schedule at all and in the winter they dont like ever. But once you are seasonal you can apply for full time, how ever right now there isn't much need for more full time people I was on the full time waiting list for 2 years before giving up. yet when I was a CP the fist time a few friends where full time in weeks. Its hard right now cuz of the economy. But as long as you don't have any issues with your record card you can be seasonal after your program.

Hiring occurs in waves and is dictated by a waiting list. Do your CP, and about a month before your departure date you can visit casting to put your name on the FT list. Your name stays on the list for 6 months, then you have to add it again.

We recently hired several merch, then attractions, then food... it really goes in waves. I just did a new CM tour yesterday and we had new hires in vacation planning, merch, and attractions. We had two DPI as well, but they were internal transfers.

When it comes time to hire people (for full or part time) they will literally go down the list. Because most work in the park is run by the union, the job will not go to the most qualified, rather the next name on the list.

Lists typically start with full timers wanting to transfer, part timers wanting full time, seasonal CMs wanting full time, then external hires. The lists are constructed by seniority date. So that those who have worked for the company longer will get the first opportunities.

Exceptions to the "list" rule are opening teams and Entertainment. Entertainment hires based on audition scores, not on senority. Opening teams hire the best qualified, but if skills are considered equal then senority makes that final decision.

As for PIs.... it's completely random. I was offered the opportunity to stay with my team on a TA (temporary assignment) because they had funding available. These scenarios vary a lot based on the location.
