Joanns is having their paper sale again - 5 sheets for $1. It starts tomorrow, but I went tonight 1/2 hour before they closed and the signs were already out so they gave me the sale price :woohoo:

I also just got an e-mail and online they are 30% off almost all scrapbooking items.

For those who have a Hobby Lobby nearby, some great 50% off scrapbook items this week too:

I picked up a ton of paper last week at Hobby Lobby when they had theirs 5/$1.00 and spent way too much money! I am glad that we don't have a Joanns around here, I might be tempted to go! LOL

I went back to Joanns today to get just a couple more sheets of paper, the $20 worth (that's almost 100 sheets  ) I got the first time wasn't enough. I ended up spending another $4.

I went in just to look at JoAnn's and there were like 6 people ready to do inventory on the paper. I left.

Can you imagine having to count all of those sheets by hand???:headache:

I was going to head to Joanns today....but the snowstorm stopped me. Oh well, maybe tomorrow afternoon!

Did anyone else's Joanns raise the price on the Disney paper? The one close to where I work raised the price on the plain Disney paper up to $0.99 a sheet which means that you can't get it for the 5/$1. IMO $0.99 seems a bit much for basically plain paper, especially since I've gotten the same sheets there for $0.59 or less. I was disappointed by that. I remember being able to get sheets of vellum in the 5/$1 before also but they raised the price on those as well.

I literally just got back from Joann's with Tinkerbell, Peter Pan & Mickey Balloon papers and they were all 5/$1.

Wonder why the difference?:confused3

I just got back from our JoAnn's and it looks like the paper aisle is in the process of being reset. There were new signs advertising their "New Lower Price" for 8.5 x 11 and 12 x 12 paper, at $.50 per sheet. And in fine print said, "Excludes specialty and licensed paper."

The shelves on the other side of the aisle were stacked with sheets that had been pulled from the racks, and need a new home. And most of what I saw there was Disney, so I think the new higher price for Disney paper is true. Hopefully, they will get the newer styles, because those I might pay more for (they go for more at the LSS anyway). But if they want to charge more for the same styles they have been carrying, then I'm glad I am stocked up because I won't be buying them.

At the Joanns by me there are a few Disney papers (like the old classic Mickey cartoons and the papers that are one color with "Mickey" or "Minnie" printed on it) that are still $0.50, but all the ones I like are now $1.

I didn't notice the change until Wednesday, which was after they charged me 5/$1 for it on Saturday. I feel a little bad about ripping them off, but it was not intentional. I buy Disney paper almost weekly at Joanns and it's always been $0.50.

What amazes me is that the Creative Imaginations brand is bunched with the licensed products (and priced that way too) and it is a total Disney knock off. They have some cute things, but I'll bet anything they aren't licensed with Disney so why are they so expensive?

Yup, the Joanne's near me in CT has marked it's Disney paper up to .99 a sheet. :sad1:

I will just have to start getting more creative with plain paper and make my stock of Disney paper last a bit longer!

We went Friday and yup, our Disney paper is now $0.99 too. Not on sale.
Oh well, guess I'll just have to pay a little more for the better quality stuff at my LSS.

I can only deram of 5/$1! I got a good deal on Bazzill at 40p a sheet (thats nearly 80c)

Went back, Disney paper is now 99 cents, too. Glad I grabbed a bunch of Peter Pan before it went up!:cool1:
