Our flight leaves for California early Tuesday morning and I am getting nervous! I feel like I am going to a foreign country! I have never been to the west coast and I have never been away from home for 10 days at a time before. I am afraid I will forget something critical or get there and forget everything I have learned from all my research.

Please send some happy thoughts my way! :flower3:

Dont worry, be happy! Your are going on vacation to the happiest place on earth.

I am the one in our family that makes all the lists and worries that I may have forgotten something important. My wife always reminds me right before we leave that if we did forget something we can always run to the store.

Have a great time:)

Welcome to California!!!!:) Hope you have a wonderful time and make sure to tell us all about your trip, I love reading about everyone's first time to Disneyland!

Your gonna have a blast!!! You are going to the happiest place on earth!!!!Target is only 5 min away if you forget anything really important. There are packing lists somewhere on this board....it's been awhile since I used them.
Have fun and let us know how it goes.pixiedust:

You are going to have a great time:goodvibes

You can make a list to check off so you don't forget anything, but honestly as long as you have your tickets, and your wallet you are good to go! I think you can pick up just about anything else you forget.

Sending you lots of pixie dust. Even if you forget some things it really won't matter because there is plenty to do out here. If you forget something there is a Target nearby and plenty of stores.

Also, the weather is beautiful right now, so welcome to California. :)

Don't worry about forgetting something. We have stores in California too. :)

Have fun!

Okay, so... it's just California. We really are part of the USA, truly.

If you forget something, there's stores.
If you forget what you've researched, it's just Disneyland. Enjoy!

Make sure you have IDs for everyone traveling, money, credit cards, and medications. Everything else is just a matter of inconvenience. :goodvibes

Have a great time!

I have found that all the research and planning can send me into a frenzy. With some nudging from my husband I have learned to store all the information and then go on auto pilot. Part of the beauty of the parks is in the discovery and spontaneous moments of magic that you just can't plan for! You will soon see that the Disneyland resort is small and cozy in comparison to Magic Kingdom so it isn't hard to navigate. California is amazing! You will have a great time! Just take it all in and enjoy!

You will have a great trip! Take a deep breath and just enjoy; everything but the memories and fun can be easily replaced. pixiedust:

I'm the same way, I get so anxious about trips, I make lists, and plan and plan and plan. That's all good and fine for pre-trip. But as soon as you get there, just try to relax and go with the flow. You are going to have a GREAT trip! :goodvibes

Pixie Dust! Pixie Dust! Pixie Dust!pixiedust:

I felt that way to the first trip we did in 2010. We had never left Canada before and I was having minor heart palpitations because of it!! Not only had we never travelled, we WERE going to another country! BUT what I learned...::yes::
WE LOVE CALIFORNIA!!! :cool1: We were nervous about making sure we packed everything and if we had our passports etc etc...And thanks to Air Canada, they lost 2 of our 4 suitcases when we arrived - nearly sending me into a :faint: But like previous posters had said - they do have stores in Cali - just like the ones I shopped at in Canada!! It really is a small world:p
Not only that, the hotel helped us out bunches - they had toothbrushes and paste that we could have until the stores opened in the morning - and there are a lot of little stores all within walking distance that cater to travellers!
Its all good! Have a WONDERFUL vacation!!:beach:

No worries!! You are going to have a wonderful vacation, and you will probably find your 10 days will fly by and you won't believe they have. I also start to doubt myself right before vacation and I loose all excitement, but as soon as I get to the airport, all the worries are gone and you realize you are going to DISNEYLAND!!

Have a magical time!!!

Make sure to bring things for hot weather. Supposed to be heating up to the 90s all week. Still much better than Florida in my opinion. :)

We also speak English out here too. :rotfl: Don't worry, you'll have a blast.

Tip: Just don't drive the speed limit or less in the left hand lane on the freeways and you'll have no reason to be fret.

A helpful suggestion from one who's been there & done that (ie ME!)...don't put your driver's license/ID loose in your pocket when at the airport. I had my license out of my wallet and just kept it in my back pocket for easy access at the terminal, check in, security etc. Well, once we were on the airplane, I forgot to put it back in my wallet. When I went to the bathroom on board, it somehow slipped out. Thank goodness someone turned it into a flight attendant!! :worship: What could have been a very bad disaster, turned into a lesson learned. New ID is pretty much the ONLY thing that will be extremely difficult to replace while on vacay. Even prescription meds aren't too bad to transfer and pick up...been there too!:headache:

Otherwise, you will be just fine. Like everyone said- there's stores in Cali too! Relax, have a cocktail and enjoy!!:thumbsup2
