We are trying to fit everything in our 6 day vacation. I'm a huge Jimmy Buffet fan and want to include a lunch or supper at Margaritaville in our plans.
Can we leave the Universal Park and eat here and return later. We will only be doing one day at Universal so I'm concerned that we want be able to see everything and take time for lunch. Do you need a reservation for this place or is it first come basis. Any help would be much appreciated.

Hi! We ate there two years ago. JB's is part if City Walk which does not require park admission. They take a priority seating ressie 30 days out of when you want to go. We went ther around 6:30 PM on a week night and there was a 1 1/2 hr. wait for inside seating. They also have a big covered deck area. We ate out there because we were able to steal a seat before they set up walk-up reservations out there. It was a great night to sit out there and our experience was FABULOUS! Lunch might be less crowded, but I would still make a PS. Just go to the margaritaville web site and go to Orlando's box. You don't have to eat there to go to the gift shop which is an experience in itself! BTW...parking at City Walk is free after 6PM.

Yes, you can leave, but make sure you get your hand stamped as you leave the park. You'll need your ticket and to show your stamp when you re-enter. I would make a reservation, especially if you go at peak times. My family went in Dec. and had reservations for 4:45, but were hungry at 4, so we stopped by and were able to be seated outside on the deck. We loved Margaritaville's. The volcano nachos are awesome!

Wow...I've eaten at Margaritaville several times and have never had any kind of wait. I've never made reservations either. The last two times I went was over the busy Thanksgiving and Christmas break and still didn't have to wait. Maybe I just timed it right. I always go for lunch though not dinner.

What is your trip date?
The parks stay open later during the summer months of July and the first two weeks of August.
I'd still recommend going at 4pm, because that's when happy hour starts and the wait for inside will be less.
Arrive the parking garage at 8am and be at the front of the gate. You'll get the major attractions done first thing with no wait. Eat lunch at 11am to beat the crowd. Everyone gets hungry at noon and the lines are long. By 3:30pm your feet will be tired and you can get your hand stamped and walk to Margaritaville for happy hour and dinner. Then if the park is still open, you can go back in for a few more hours.
