Starting Feb. 22, depending on what part of the country you live in tix are going on sale for the summer Tiki Tour. I might just bite the bullet and get my tix thru a broker, by putting my name in ahead of time. These tickets seem impossible to get, and then resell on ebay like they're worth their weight in gold.
So, get in line early, sit with your cable modems and cross your fingers.

We have missed him the last 2 years!:( Not sure if we will get to see him this time around or not. Oh well I still have my t-shirts and cd's. We have a Buffet party every now and again.

Keep wasting away all you parrot heads!

woo-hoo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Parrot Heads everywhere are doing the happy dance! Good Luck to you !:smooth: :Pinkbounc :p :D :bounce:

When I lived in Boston, we went every year to JB w/o fail. There were 16 of us that went. Sometimes two shows.
The day the TIX go on sale, get your cell phones, house phones. All of you. start dialing just before the exact time they go on sale. KEEP dialing, most of the time we got through at the very end, when I'm, assuming people gave up. we always ended up with many tix for different nights. we would have to try 7 trade or sell some.
I haven't missed a JB concert in 20 years! <VBG> This might be the first year. The last couple of years we saw him at National car Rental center (My DH's account)in Sunrise, FL just not the same. His company lost the account this year & he will be performing in American Airlines Arena. i doubt we will be going.
So give it a try!!

:bounce: :bounce: Jimmy Buffett here we come!!!:bounce: :bounce:

I am soooo ready for a Buffett concert, it's freezing in Michigan and I could use a good margarita, some good music, and a grass skirt! Jimmy didn't come to MI last year, this year if he misses us again....we are HUNTING HIM DOWN! He'll be in Chicago in August.;) :D :bounce:

UPDATE.....THIS JUST IN....

I surfed over to one of my favorite Jimmy sites after reading this thread..........HE IS COMING TO MICHIGAN...... ON MY BIRTHDAY!!!!! :bounce: :bounce: :bounce:

WOO HOO!!!! This is gonna be one HECK of a birthday!! ;)

I've been a Parrothead since 1974...before we were even called that and when people still asked - "Jimmy who??" I've seen him a bunch of times and even got to meet him once. BUT...I saw him in concert last labor day weekend and I won't be going again. I think I've become an old fart! :) The concert was a big drunk-fest. The people behind us were smashed out of their minds and still drinking and spilling their drinks on us. We had to move to avoid the vomit.

Before the show was fun to see all the folks dressed up and camped out. But I just don't understand the girls who will flash body parts just to get beads. (Guess they didn't see the guys with the cameras who were taking shots - which most likely ended up on the web somewhere)

Jimmy puts on a great show but I think I'll stick to the live albums (see, I'm dating myself! :) ) It took us over two hours just to get out of the parking lot - and that was after leaving during the first encore. Tons and toms of limos, buses, campers and other cars with people who never got into the show. It was also fun driving through the parking lot avoiding the broken glass and other things left behind.

Good luck to those of you who want tickets - I got mine through ticket master after someone on these boards mentioned they were going on sale. paid over $50 a ticket to basically sit on the lawn. (The tweeter center in mansfield Ma has now put seats on what used to be the lawn. I was po'd to find that out..)

I still love the captain, but, sigh, guess I'm getting a little too old for the concert scene! :) (and I used to see everyone who came to town when I was much younger..)

Jill...a pirate who has seen 40..

A "true" parrot head is NEVER to old to go to a Buffett concert! (early 50's here) We never miss him here in the philly area. Yes, we see some weirdo's, last yr a drunk in his tighty whiteys asked us to help him find his clothes, all harmless fun we were in the lawn section (best seats in the house IMHO) we got hit with a terrible thunder storm and I was soaked, but I wouldn't have missed it for anything! We usually get our tickets on line from ticket master, I man the pc while my fiance stands in line and hopes for a good number. If we get tickets both places, they are very easy to get rid of. One yr we had to go through "Cheap seats" to get our tickets, 90.00 each for lawn, but worth every penny, the man puts on the best show !He comes to Camden in June, whatever it costs us, its worth it!

JESW, but I can relate. I wouldn't bring my kids along, especially not the teenage sons.

DisneyDee, Camden is where I will be heading. Can't wait. Last year I couldn't get seats so this year I will be hedging my bets by going with a buying service.

I'm not a Parrothead, but my BF is, so I'd love to go with him.

Dee, maybe I'll get tix and see you at Camden!

Jes!!
You're never too old! ;)
Come on down & see him in one of these indoor arenas. I was sooo disappointed in seeing him at National car Rental center (now Office Depot center) for the first time. It was nothing like Great Woods (I will still call it that ). Very mellow, hardly anyone tail gating in the parking lot.
See the thing at Great Woods is get there right when they open the parking lot. Most of the time this area will be filled with us mature folks who like to party but can control ourselves. The young ones will come in later & party hardy, but won't be near you!
Than after the concert re-heat the grill throw on the filets and wait until they throw you out! ;)
