I am a huge Jiminy Cricket fan.. I have always liked him ever since I watched him as a kid do the "I'm No Fool" spots. He of course is in Pinnochio.
His voice narrates a lot of things at Disney world. Here is my question. Has anyone ever actually seen Jiminy Cricket the Character at a Disney Park. My Disney Dream is to get his autograph and have a picture taken with him. Someone told me he comes out on Earth Day. I saw him on an old vacation planning video celebrating Christmas at Magic Kingdom. Tell me where he might appear at what time of the year and I want to be there. Also my grandson's mother has the same obsession with Grumpy. I know Grumpy merchandise is very popular, but why is it that you never see Grumpy at any autograph sessions.? Her is my autograph ritual. I do not use an autograph book. On my trips to the world, I buy a plain white hat. Last time it was a big white floppy hat that I found at Target for a few $$ I then bring a large Sharpie pen. Whenever I see a character I then can easily find my pen in my fannypack, and ask the character for an autograph. THANKS AGAIN

DH and I saw Jiminy 2x at EPCOT last September. First time was in a country... ok, I'm drawing a total blank as to which one :sad2: and he was on the character bus as well. I was completely shocked to see him as I'd always heard he was never out. To see him 2 different days was amazing. It was great the first time we saw him, we were walking by the country in question and DH kept walking and I went running, hollering at DH to pay attention. :goodvibes There was no line to see him at all, of course we were there during a slow time. (in between hurricanes)

He is not one of those characters that is seen often. Other members here at the Dis HAVE seen him, and have the photos to prove it... they've shared them. On our recent trip, we weren't lucky enough to have seen him, but I wish you all the luck. As for where he'd be, well I'd assume somewhere in Fantasyland...

YES!!! We got him. We noticed back in Feb. 04 when we were leaving that he was in front of the train station as you are exiting. My daughter said .. Who's that? I ran over with her and he signed her book. It was adorable and in green! :) :cheer2:

I would check in the city hall when you are there. They seem to be able to find out when and where the characters will be there. He is very hard to get though (from what I have heard).

Best of Luck!!!!
I'll send some pixie dust your way!

We saw him back in November on the Character Bus at EPCOT. We posted a pic of him and DD in the members galleries picture section on this site under Amberboo. Also heard of him making appearances at Italy in EPCOT but have never seen him there. :cool1:

Remember... crickets are nocturnal.

I second the character bus at Epcot. I've seen him twice there!

we saw Jiminy several times in Epcot when we were there back in 2000. I love him, too.

"Always let your conscience be your guide." Were wiser words ever uttered???

I got a picture with him 2 years ago in May. Haven't seen him before or since...I think its more of dumb luck than being able to plan when you see them

We saw him on the character bus at EPCOT. This was during the Flower and Garden Festival so for some reason he was wearing a Home Depot apron...

We got to see him twice on our first visit in 2003. He was on the Characters on Holiday bus in Epcot and at Rafikis planet watch at AK. My daughter got his autograph and laughed because he spelled his name wrong. He spelled it "Jiminy Crecket". She still brings that up whenever she's sees anything about him. :rotfl:

Hi!

We had heard that Jiminy was a rare character, but we have seen him each of our last 2 visits.

In May, 2003 at Epcot we were heading toward World Showcase & we could see that there were characters out. We are HUGE character seekers & our sons (11, 9 & 6) always try to figure out who they are by the tops of their heads from a distance. We saw this "green character" and before I could figure it out my 9yo yelled, "It's Jiminy & took off!!" LOL

October, 2004 we met Jiminy & Pinocchio together just inside the MGM entrance. I believe that there are 2-3 separate character appearances in the early PM. Ask a CM to call the "CHIP" hotline in the morning to call for specific character locations & times. Unfortunately, we have found that this information is not always correct. Sometimes a character we were looking for didn't show, while another unexpected character we hadn't met yet, was!! :) For example, early in the week I gave my list (yes, I have a list) of characters we were seeking & I was told that Kuzko & Kronk were not currently making any appearances. We went to MGM a few days later & there they were!! You just never know. It's fun, though, to always keep us on out toes.

Just remember to have fun no matter what!!

Same here...got pics with him at the Italy pavillion.

We saw him on the character bus at Epcot at the end of September 2004.

We saw him last month at Epcot. It was raining and they had quite a few characters inside one of the buildings for people to see and take picturs with.

We were waiting for the Characters on Holiday bus in front of Spaceship Earth and almost no one else was around. As it pulled up, I was sooo excited to see Jiminy Crickett! When the bus stopped, Jiminy hopped off & grabbed my DD's hand and off they skipped together. It was precious! We were thrilled to get pictures with him! The COH bus is a GREAT way to see LOTS of characters in a short amount of time. I think it was the first stop of the day at SE. Extremely short, if non-existent lines, to see Baloo, King Louie, Mary Poppins, Jiminy Crickett, Rafiki, Meeko, Mickey Mouse, Goofy, Max, Captain Hook, Mr. Smee, Pinochio, Chip & Dale, and Pluto. Whew! We had a blast!

Last summer we saw him at MGM at the the hat. We were looking for Mulan, but Jiminy came out every time the characters came out that day. I thought it was odd because I had heard he was a rare one to find, but not that day! He's cute!

Its Nice To Know That I Am Not The Only One Looking For Jiminy Cricket At Disney. Maybe If More People Request Certain Hard To Find Characters Like Him, He Will Show Up More Often. Then Again Disney Does Not Seem To Have Any Method To Their Madness. We All Keep Coming Back For More However The Fun Is In The Chase And Definitely In The Planning.

I collect character pictures and have not yet been able to find Jiminy... thanks everyone! ;)

I met Jiminy once (May 2003), on the Epcot Holiday Bus. Like another poster said, he was wearing an orange Home Depot apron, as part of the Flower Festival. I was so happy to meet him, as I never expected to find him!! :teeth:

I also agree with poster who said the CHIP hotline (asking a Castmember about where the find a specific character) can give incorrect information. I had that happen, too! On one trip, I was looking for Brer Bear. I asked at MK Guest Services, and they said he no longer makes appearances, and stopped greeting awhile ago. I sadly leave ... and then one minute later I run into him! So you never know when you ask for a character ....!

Here is an offical Jiminy Cricket autograph! :)

I am going straight to the city hall.
