Jim Hill and Me? Kinda...

I was searching the ‘net today and a link to Jim Hill’s website popped up in my search list list. I clicked on the link and got thrown onto a webpage that was criticizing Disney. No surprises there. I read with interest what Mr. Hill had to say, especially since Disney had recently rolled out the wedding packages that Mr. Hill was writing about.

As I read the webpage, nothing on it really surprised me. However, a photo that was posted there did. You see, it was a photo from my vow renewal two years ago (from the Great Movie Ride): click here. I had to laugh out loud when I saw my photo on Mr. Hill’s webpage. (I assume he got permission to use it from Disney.)

I guess in a round about way, my 20th wedding anniversary has been immortalized by Mr. Hill. I’m taking his use of my photo as a belated anniversary present. Thank you, Mr. Hill. I’ll be sure to share that webpage with my husband when he comes home from his fishing trip this afternoon. He’ll probably get a chuckle out of your anniversary present, too.

Kidpluto, no, my photo is the one that was taken in the Land of Oz. I hope the other photo is a stock photo with models in it. I say that because I found it a little unnerving to open a webpage and discover one of my photos on it. As you can imagine, a 20th wedding anniversary is a very personal event.

I suppose it could have been worse. Video of my anniversary party could have been shared on TMZ.
