We had a bit of a lie in this morning our GMF was booked for 9.15am @ Bella Notte, the second time we've been allocated our GMF breakfast there. By 9.00 am we were at the park and noticed that all the flower beds had beautiful new blooms planted overnight, there was a band playing underneath Main Street Station.

Main Street however was closed off

as was Central Plaza, Discovery Arcade and the castle, so we had to make our way via Liberty Arcade and the frontierland entrance paths.
Through open doors in Liberty Arcade I managed to snap some photos and again at the exit.

We finally arrived at Bella Notte at 9.30am just in time to see It's A Small World open it's doors and the little dolls come out.

After filling up with fruit salad and yoghurts and petit pains, Liam actually ate one too ! we came out to find some characters rushing off, to join the Character Express train. We rode IASW on our own, the boats in front and behind us were empty, but by the time our ride was over though, a queue was starting to form, by 11.00am we had done Alice's Curious Laberynth, Peter Pan, Snow White & Pinocchio, so we headed over to Discoveryland, picked up some FP's for Buzz and Liam and I sat and waited whilst Jamie rode Star Tours. Back to Buzz

this was most definately our favourite ride this time and we bought the on-ride photos, for the first time we didn't have the guns in front of our faces, although had I known our scores would be on them I might not have bothered, mine really was that low :rolleyes1
Liam had bought one of those annoying lazer blasters with his birthday money, we got more FP's for the afternoon and headed over to POTC, I couldn't believe how much we'd done in such a short time, I thought ride times would be dreadful today. In POTC there was a real pirate hanging off the window bars, in the walkthrough bit, he'd climbed up really high and as you came around the corner you didn't see him, when he jumped down in front of us I almost had heart failure :rotfl2: We watched him climb back up ready to get the next poor unsuspecting soul and boy did she scream. We did have a reservation for lunch at the Blue lagoon for 1.15pm, but you've guessed it- neither of them were hungry, so another cancellation, there is a definate pattern here, but I wasn't too bothered because I'd booked Inventions for 8.30pm, right after park closing.
We skipped over to Phantom Manor

getting some FP's for BTM on the way, after PM and as we came past the Riverboat landing Mark Twain was just loading so we jumped on, got some lovely photographs

we hadn't been on the riverboat since March '04. I'd thought perhaps the keelboats would be running because of the press event, but they were docked. It was 1.30pm when we came off BTM, got another set of FP's this time for 4.40pm, which suited us really well, our Buzz ones were for 3.40pm and I wanted to take Liam back to the hotel for a nap so he wouldn't be too tired to enjoy the evening. We decided it wasn't worth waiting for the parade, with spaces so limited we probably wouldn't have got a very good view anyway, there was an information cart outside City hall, so I stopped to double check the park closing time, only to be given a slip of paper, which read:
"Join us on Main Street from 8.40pm for a party celebration followed by fireworks"
I could feel another restaurant reservation bite the dust, we called into the DLH to see if we could bring our reservation forward but they were full, as it was Jamie's birthday celebration I let him decide, what we would do - he decided on Planet Hollywood for tea and back to the park for the fireworks.

Couldn't resist taking this photo

and then it was back to the hotel, Jamie wrote out some postcards, don't think any of them have arrived yet, Liam got into bed and went straight to sleep and I repacked our cases.
I'll try and get the last bit done tomorrow :)

Oh it's so exciting you got to go back for the the launch of the new celebrations. It sounds like another good day. GMF are really good fr geting to Fantasyland early, we've always had ours in Chalet de Marionette though.

great stuff Jill, as always thanks for sharing!:thumbsup2

Thanks, another busy day. Can't wait for your final part:)

Another great day Jill. That bug Liam had must have really taken it out of him:confused:

Shame about your reservations but I think you made the right choices since if kids do not want to be there it would be no fun ;)

Great report. :goodvibes You can always go to Inventions next visit, a good excuse to go back! :yay:
