Jiko's Chef Table/Counter?

Last year my DH and I ate at Jiko and have ressies to take our DD this year. She is almost 8 (going into 3rd grade). I wanted to know how can we sit at the chef's counter. Do we call and request it? My daughter really enjoys sitting at the bar or counter when we go to other restaurants.

I'm pretty sure you just ask at the podium when you arrive. And you know it isn't an actual chefs counter in that it isn't an open kitchen. It's where they prepare the flatbreads and other appetizers.
The actual bar is off to the side and outside the main restaurant area.
