Hi, My dh and I are arriving early Sunday evening. I was looking at the menus and wondered if it is possible to sit at The Cooking Place and have an appetizer and dessert? We are on a budget and I thought this would be a good way to experience Jiko. I was wondering if anyone here has done that and what their experience was like. Thanks so much in advance.

Hi.. I do not see why you could not each order an appetizer and each have a dessert or maybe even share a dessert as your meals?? Many order appetizers as they are smaller portions and that is all they want to eat. I do not believe that there is any minimum to spend at Disney restaurants..

I would imagine that your turnaround time to eat would be far less for the server than someone sitting there ordering a full course meal and he could maybe get in another party for dining that night...

Of course it is possible, if there is space available. They also serve the full menu at the little Jiko bar area, so you could sit there and relax as well.
