Jiko Wine Room

Has anyone sat in there?
Does it take any speciall reservation or just ask and luck?
Does it give an different experience like Vic and Albert's does at the chef's table? Or is it the same just wine bottles all around you?

It's similar to the wine room at California Grill. Just a place to sit, and they'll seat anyone in there unless there's a private party in the room.

When the restaurant is really busy they use it as an overflow room for reservations.

Just a regular room, no special experience.

Our party of six was in there a few months ago, it was fine.

We were seated there the first time we ate at Jiko. After a few minutes I appraoched the hostess and asked to be moved into the main dining area. We really did not care for the wine room. Small and cut off from the lovely main room. I think we would resist future attempts to seat us there.

I agree. We were seated there in August and I didn't care for it. I like the main dining room and being able to see the Cooking Place or through the windows. I felt very insulated.

We were seated in the wine room last month without asking. It was a really pretty room, but I have to tell you.....when we were leaving I stopped in the doorway to "check out" the main dining area because I kind of felt like I had missed it all!
