Arriving on Sunday in May and spending the day at the pool at AKL. Three adults and three kids (7, 4, baby). Which is better Jiko or Boma? Thanks!

We ate in both when we stayed there in 2010. Didn't care much for Jiko but loved Boma. Ate there again on our last trip and plan to again this time out. But then again, we're a bit weird, we love the buffets in WDW :)

I love both but they're completely different experiences. Boma has a wonderful buffet with some good old standbys as well as some more eclectic items to try. Jiko is more high end, quiet, etc. For a romantic meal I always would pick Jiko (one of my fave restaurants) but for a quick family meal I would usually suggest Boma.

Two very different restaurants so it depends on what kind of dinner experience you want.

Boma is a buffet that has many dishes with African spices and flavorings. The restaurant is casual, light and bright. It's busy, but the service is excellent.

Jiko is a signature restaurant. It is quieter and has a more adult atmosphere. The menu has some unique offerings that you won't find elsewhere. The food is delicious and the service is outstanding.
