Hello! I am trying to choose between Jiko and Sanaa for dinner. I will be staying at Jambo house so Jiko would be more convenient. However... the menu at Sanaa appeals to me more. Which do you like better? Getting to Sanaa worries me a bit. Does anyone know the easiest way to get to Kidani from Jambo house?

The easiest way is to take the DTD bus--it stops at Jambo House first and then Kidani (the park buses go the other way around, so you can take any park bus back to Jambo House). You can also walk.

Jiko was the best meal we had on our last trip (by a mile) and on this trip we're eating at both. So I don't know what to tell you.

Really, walking to Sanaa isn't that bad. Here's my way of doing it.

Walk from Jambo on the path to Kidani. Then take the first available elevator from the parking area (I believe it's the Zazu elevator - there are signs on the path). Take it to the first available floor where there are guest rooms. You can walk indoors from the elevator to the lobby of Kidani. Then you can either take stairs or an elevator down to Sanaa.

Hello! Thank you for your response. I am glad that you enjoyed Jiko.

Hi! Thanks for your directions!:thumbsup2 That is exactly what I was looking for in regards to getting to Sanaa! Thanks.

Jiko is my favorite restaurant at WDW, but Sanaa is also quite good. If the menu at Sanaa looks more appealing to you, that may be the way to go.

Jiko was one of my favorite WDW meals. I have never been to Sanaa and their menu actually does not do much for me, so not sure if I will ever go. But I will definitely be returning to Jiko.
Here is my review:

Hey there! That is good to know that Jiko is your favorite. I am leaning towards Jiko because of its proximity and my utmost desire to just chill out:cool2: during my vacation Thanks again!

Never been to Sanaa (menu doesn't appeal to us), but Jiko is our absolute favorite meal at WDW. :)

Do Sanaa for lunch and Jiko for dinner!

Sanaa is fantastic, but its just a restaurant.

Jiko has a whole different feel... like fine dining... makes you want to wear a nicer outfit ya know =)

Sanaa is good. But we would prefer Jiko.

Thank you! Good to hear from somebody who has been to both!

Jiko is wonderful! One of my favorite meals at WDW! Enjoy whichever you choose! :goodvibes

Thank you Belle!

Hey! Thanks!

we ate at both and honestly i didn't think Jiko was as great as everyone says. we started off with the taste of africa and BBQ chicken flat bread. Husband got the mac n cheese fillet, i got the lamb. Then i dont remember our desserts. But Sanaa was amazing! i loved the food the salad sampler was great. They had an awesome tea selection, i got Pina Colada. and the entree's we really good as well, we got the pork and the burger. i really enjoyed this meal much more than Jiko, and the view is amazing!

We have eaten at both. You can't even compare the two - Jiko is way better!
Thanks!

Hey! I read your wedding planning report. It was good! See..that's what I am worried about. We stayed at AKL last year and ordered room service one day. I got the flat bread and did not like it at all. It tasted weird to me. I love tea and I love a great view. Thanks for the input girlie!

I've been to both and love both, but having been to Jiko several times, I'd say you made an excellent choice.

They are both very different restaurants, but also somewhat the same.

Jiko is a signature restaurant so the menu and prices reflect that.

Sanaa has some very interesting choices and the sampliers are great.

I'd say stick with Jiko for dinner, but if you can find the time go over to Sanaa for lunch. I loved the decore at Sanaa, it's such an interesting restaurant. Since you are at Jambo, you should definately take a look over at Kidani. I've stayed at both and fell in love with Kidani last time!

We like Sanaa alot. But, Jiko is a much higher caliber restaurant in terms of ambience, food quality and wine. The wine selection is excellent at Jiko. They focus on South African wines and the selection is amazing. The wine list is more run-of-the-mill at Sanaa. You made a good choice!
