My son and GF want to do Starlight Safari and dinner at Jikos. Question is the latest ressie I can see is 9.25 for Jiko, Safari starts at 8.30 lasts for an hour. Has anyone done it this way round and been a little late for Jiko?
Alternative is Jiko first but as Safari may be bumpy that may not be a good idea? Could do later Safari.
Staying at AKL so may be better to do separate nights.
Any insight gratefully received!

I would either do a very early dinner, pre-Safari, or eat at Jiko on a separate night. Starlight Safari starts and ends at Kidani and Jiko is in Jambo House - it would take them at least 15 minutes or more to walk to Jambo after the Safari.
Yes, thought as much, just needed confirmation ~ plus did not realise 15 min walk from Safari to Jiko so thank you so much 😊

They run the shuttle between them so the 15 minutes is probably more like 5 at most. When we did the safari the specifically asked if anyone needed to go to Jambo afterwards.

They would still be late for a reservation at a restaurant that closes at 9:30 pm - why risk it? They aren't going to make it to Jambo by 9:30 pm or even 9:35 pm.
