Jiko atmosphere?

Just wondering if the atmosphere at Jiko is more like Flying Fish and Kona Cafe or like YSH?

In my opinion, more like YSH. FF, with its whimiscal decor and open kitchen, always strikes me as being somehwat loud and energetic. To me, Jiko seems more subdued like YSH.

I would say more like flying fish. The walls change color like the sunrise/sunset over the savannah while you are eating. Open restaurant, cooking place in the middle.

I was trying to determine if it is loud like FF or subdued like YSH. If it is like YSH, I think we will pass on this trip. Our kids are fine at FF, but I would feel ucomfortable if they were being silly at a more subdued place.

I cant tell you what the atmosphere is like at FF Or Yachtaman have not been there yet but can tell you that the atmosphere at Jiko was a quiet sitdown dinner the evening we went, is not saying that it is V&A quiet but was not very loud either. Hopes that helps a little

The noise level is like YSH, maybe even quieter. The atmosphere would best be described as "upscale casual with an exotic flair".

If your kids tend to be a little loud or rambunctious, you'll be "noticed", if that's what you were getting at.

We went to Jiko with our children (ages 3, 8, 10) last visit to WDW. We were staying at the AKL and tried all the dining places there. We had a wonderful meal and a wonderful time. It was no problem at all with the children. In fact it was one of the most pleasant meals the entire trip. Our 3 year old ordered the PB & J which came with goldfish crackers and fresh fruit. All the meals were wonderful, the atmosphere was very nice and friendly. I would go for it, and not hesitate to take your kids. It is WDW after all!!
