I have seen lots of “Jiko OR Boma” threads, but no “AND” threads. Would it be overkill to do both?

I thought about Boma with my sister-in-law and niece, and Jiko one evening with just my husband and myself. They are less adventurous eaters than we are, and we enjoy fine dining more than they do, so I thought this sounded like a good compromise. Thoughts? Thank you.

Well in June when we go we are having our 1st dinner at Boma then when my daughters mother and stepfather leave we are having breakfast at Boma's and the next night dinner at Jiko's ( my favorite ). So I am hoping its not to much.

We love Boma when we are with the kids and pretty much go to Jiko just me and my wife.... My kids really much rather go to a buffet then to a sit down restaurant

I don't think it's too much. We love Boma (breakfast and dinner) and have done both and also Sanaa in one trip. We have yet to do Jiko but plan on doing it on our next trip. Enjoy!

We've done both Boma and Jiko on one trip and it wasn't overkill. The food at Jiko is much higher-scale and just different from Boma- even though Boma is one of our favorite restaurants anywhere! This trip, we are going to do Boma and Sanaa, as Sanaa seems to have more Indian influence. I hope it won't be too much/similar!

We have done both in the same trip. We have done Boma with the kids and Jiko as a date night. When our kids got older, they joined us at Jiko and loved it. They actually like Jiko better than Boma now.
Have not tried Sanaa yet, but will next month. Have read great things about it.
Boma is probably the best buffet at WDW. Jiko has some similar dishes, but much more upscale and has many options that Boma does not.
You can't go wrong with either or both.

Thank you for all the replies - I’m glad to hear that we will be fine doing both. The menus both look amazing, so I’m really looking forward to trying them.

The bread service and location of Sanaa are both very appealing, though I would feel bad making a reservation just for the bread service. I wish I liked Indian food, but unfortunately I tend not to (we have loads of amazing Indian restaurants in Scotland, and I really have tried to like it!), so I think we will have to give that a miss.

Thanks again!

Edit: I am seriously considering going to Boma for breakfast too. We will see...

Good to hear you are going to do both. They are both great and completely different.

If you want to do Sanaa too they have a nice lounge where you could just order the bread service. It's a thing of beauty.

I'd make the trifecta a quadfect and add Tiffins :) I'm trying to figure out a way to do just this on our next trip. Boma breakfast and Sanaa lunch have been on our must do list for the past few trips, and last trip in February we tried Tiffins and loved it. I'd already booked Boma, Sanaa and Jiko for our April trip, and now I'm trying to figure out how/whether to squeeze in Tiffins.

Ooh, that’s good to know, thank you - I will definitely add that to my plans!

@CaliforniaGirl09 We are doing Tiffins for the Rivers of Light dining package. It looks wonderful. Would that be an option for you?

@DaisyDuck001 That’s a good point - thank you!

It may be. I have a FP for ROL already but could look at changing that. It’s a relatively short trip and there are too many places we want to eat! I’m forcing myself to keep some new to us restaurants in the line-up.

Whenever we stay at AKL we do a Boma breakfast and dinner, a Sanaa lunch, and a Jiko dinner. Plus usually one evening meal of apps and drinks at Victoria Falls. We find them all to be unique and delightful!

Glad I'm not the only one planning a trifecta! We're staying at AKL in September and plan on Sanaa (if only for bread service) on arrival day, dinner at Jiko on our AK day, and Boma breakfast on departure day! We've never eaten at any of them, so I'm really excited!

Oh, goodness....AKV is dining heaven:cloud9:. We are doing a lunch at Sanaa (better view of animals while it is still daylight!), dinner at Jiko (wild boar sausage, elk tenderloin and filet) and then breakfast at Boma on the morning that we leave to go home. There is nothing wrong with eating at all of the AKL restaurants:thumbsup2.
