Okay where can I buy a nice necklace or earrings at Disney World. I would pay up to 100.00 for something. That is going to be the only thing I buy myself.

Thanks

There is a jewelry store in Mk that has some nice jewelry, and also one at DTD.
You can find some jewelry in each of the parks in a store or two, but I find the best jewelry in the large WOD store in DTD. They have inexpensive stuff hanging on racks and some of the better stuff behind the glass cases.
Most of the jewelry is Disney influenced but you can find some things that are not, but then again, why buy jewelry in WDW if you don't want Disney.
I also found some nice jewelry in most of the resort stores, most of which you will see in the parks and DTD.
If you want something that is not Disney themed try the stores at Swan and Dolphin. I bought a few sets there a few years back that I still get compliments on. Usually earrings and necklace sets that are very inexpensive, but they have nicer jewelry in the glass cases too.

I like the jewelry store in the MK. WOD at DTD is also nice, but go during the day...in the evenings I find the store just too crowded.

To my surprise, I found the gift shop at the YC to have some nice pieces as well. A limited selection, but what they had was very nice. I would definitely try the hotel gift shops as well as the larger stores.

I have a charm bracelet that I add to on every trip. I find the charms to very reasonably priced. I also collect Disney watches.

The store inside the castle often has some small jewelry pieces as well. I bought a beautiful "mouse ears" pin there. I get lots of compliments on it.
So, if you find a place that looks interesting, check it out...you never know what you'll find. ;)

WoD has good selection but I always liked jewelry in the Contemporary gift shop. It used to be you could find something different in each place, but now you can pretty much find the same thing in all stores.

My weakness too. :goodvibes

The WoD store at DTD has a nice selection and it takes an AP or AAA discount (the only one to take AAA).

Also try Mousegear at Epcot and Uptown Jewelers at MK.

I have not had an opportunity to check out the different resort shops I would think the Deluxe resort shops would have some nice things.

Have fun!

PS... You can find Swarovski jewelry at the collectables stores and at Arribas Bros. in MK

Slightly OT- but is the place at Epcot (Japan?) still open where you can get the oyster with a pearl and put into jewelry? I think CBR had one too at the old Port Royale.

DD was mentioning a while back about wanting to see a pearl in an oyster and since her bday is during our trip it might make for a special present.

Oh yes... nice catch.

They have the oysters there and the room off to the side you can have them set I believe. If not, I know they have pearl jewelry for sale there already set.

::yes::

Last year I bought a pretty necklace in the Contemporary gift shop and this year a nice bracelet in DTD in WOD all the way to the back of the store. Huge selection!

Have fun!

There is a store in the Mexican Pavilion that has some beautiful silver jewelry. Quite a few of the countries have jewelry from their countries at their gift shops.

I saw some nice pieces at the CSR gift shop.

I'm not positive about jewelry per se, but the shops at the GF have lots of things, some were very pircey, but some things were reasonable, and it was a nice place to browse. A good break from the crowds. Not to be too stereotypical, but the guys sat and had a beverage, while the women had a look around. Everyone was happy. While it isn't my favorite themd hotel, it is very classy in there, so even the restrooms were nice. I'm pretty sure I saw some jewelry there.
They also had a little bit of jewelry at the gallery at the Boardwalk - the Wyland Gallery. Mainly it features Wyland Artwork (lots of whales and dolphins), but they also have other artists, and glass cases for collectables/jewelry. Not a discount store, by any means, but another beautiful place to browse for certain. It's kind of tucked away in the area behind the Flying Fish.
Then there are places to get 'kids' jewelry - I got a ring at the gift shop that's at the end of Stitch. The gift shop at the Swan had some cute things. There's also a big selection of costume jewelery at the POTC gift shop.

thank you for all the suggestions. I can't wait to find my necklace, bracelet or something. Yes it is going to be Disney themed. I would love a tinkerbell necklace.

Only 36 more days!

Make sure you let us know where you ended up, and photo's of what you found would be an extra special treat. ::yes::

Have fun! :wave2:

I just got back and made my purchases at WoD store. I was looking to spend the same amount and also wanted Tink. There was a gold necklace with different Tink charms available. But I ended up seeing a Tink watch that was different. Tink's face takes up the face of the watch and the band is a colorful leather band, which has tink on it. It is sooo cute :goodvibes But since I really wanted a necklace...what to do :confused3 Oh well I broke down and purchased the watch and a silver necklace that has a hanging heart with a hidden mickey diamond (cz) :teeth: I spent a little bit over the $100 but got a discount for using my Disney Visa Card.

The most important thing is .... I  both items.

Yes, they still have this. It's in the store to the right when you're standing in front of Japan. It was a blast! You buy a pearl ticket ($14.80 with tax) at any register and take it to the oyster tank. You pick out your oyster and they open it. Then you can pick out a setting for it. They had some that were pretty inexpensive. We got ours in a necklace and it's really nice. I only wish they had something Mickey in a setting choice. Anyway, I would highly recommend this, it was fun! We went back the next day just to watch and saw someone get two pearls in one oyster!
