Has anyone ever done the Jewell Gardens glassblowing excursion in Skagway?

We did it by ourselves which worked out much cheaper. Caught a local bus there and back without any problems. It was myself and our 3 children. The youngest who is 16 was not keen on the idea and we dragged him along. He loved it. We booked on there web site and made one Christmas decoration and 3 paper weights. You weren't just watching you made them with some help.

How long ago was this? I got the impression from the website that if you want to make the ornaments, you need to be part of a cruise excursion.

I can't remember the exact date we were there this year but our cruise left Vancouver June 26th this year. We did not have any food just the glass blowing and a walk around the garden. When we did the glass blowing the group was only our family.

When you go on the web site do not select cruise passengers.
Select glass blowing as you are on an independent tour.
Don't select anything that has cruise passengers. From memory it was approx $98 each.
