Yep and they are will be releasing airfares through September 6, 2011! That is pretty far in advance for them.

I am so not prepared for this! Isn't this earlier than they usually release fares? I thought they only did it 6 months before?

I am looking to book for May. I booked last year for the same week 11/5 and for 2009 in early Dec.

I called them and asked what time they released fairs and was told 12:01am but my friend also called and was told 12:01am Mountain Time. Guess I'll find out tomorrow night. I try at midnight but won't stay up til 2am.

I'm also not ready for such a big window of releases.

I've yet to finish booking my January trip. Then I have my May trip to work on. Also planning August, so I'll be adding those flights to track to my Yapta account.....unless they start out very cheap, then I'll buy them.

I think they are starting to load the fares. When you pick dates after May 3rd, it shows them on the calendar, but when you actually chose them, it then says "flights are unavailable?"

They are working for me now and my friend going with me is in church. Looking at Wednesday May 11th to May 18th the flights down are $99 but only one flight home (landing in Logan at 9pm) is $118 and the rest are $148. Other days are even more expensive flying home.

Hope she calls soon!!!

Yes, I can see the amounts loaded today too. Same prices right now -- $84 one way to and from Dulles Airport.

I'm sooooo pathetically new at this (planning my first family vacation EVER, never took one as a child either!). What does it mean when you say 'schedule opens". I'm guessing it just means that the next set of dates start booking? I'm hovering above the "Purchase" button for our trip at the end of March, but I don't want to buy if there's a chance they'll go down tomorrow night!

Yes-next set of dates available to book. Now through 9/6/11.

With Jet Blue if the price drops you can call and they will issue you a credit for a future flight. I think they will only do that once but not sure.

may 14-22. is more than $300 boston to mco. Usually I pay 200 give or take. I know this has been cheap in the past but south west to tpa and airtran are under $200

That is high but I haven't seen boston to mco under $200 for a while now. I'm looking at 5/11 to 5/18 and it will be $238. I've stopped trying to book Sat-Sat or Sun trips because they are too expensive.


Wish my friend would call back so I can book my flights before they go up.

We're going May 21-June 2, the first part of the trip is a cruise out of Miami. I had to give into a cruise in order to get the Disney portion of the trip for me!


I actually booked Southwest - PVD to FLL for $69, for the trip down. I don't have my flights home yet, the flights are $118 right now on SW and I think I could do better.

Jetblue is $148 for Bos to FLL for May 21st, so I'll take $69 instead on SW!

$69 does sound good but I'd rather pay $99 to fly Jet Blue than drive to Providence. I can take the boat to Logan from Quincy so that is better than driving over an hour to Providence. For my dates SW is $118 each way so JB is only $5 more RT.

Where are you staying in May? I just this morning booked BWI CL with AAA discount so we'd have a room if when we buy airfare. I didn't put my friends on the reservation yet-hoping maybe one of them would get a pin code.

I'm jealous of your AKL CL trip. I thought about booking AKL CL for my bday trip but with 3 adults I think BWI will work better for us.

I will be 11 weeks post op on my right foot tomorrow. It is looking good today. I still have some pain but no worse than pre surgery-I am still hopeful that it will be considerably better by May. I am scheduled to have my left foot done 11/22-the Monday before Thanksgiving. That will give me 5+ months to recover before May. I haven't gone 9 months between trips in about 6 years. I'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. At least with my left foot I'll be able to drive. Not driving for 7 weeks was really tough!

the saturday flight is actually the cheap flight. I usually fly midweek but got a concierge room for AKV from sat. to thursday.

Wed 5/18 @6:07pm $118

Total with tax $238.40.


Now I can obsessively check to see if the price drops and keep checking for Pins and AP rates and general public deals.....

I booked this morning as well, LGA to MCO, 5/21 - 5/28, $188 roundtrip. We are from RI but will be on Long Island the day before for our daughter's college graduation. We will leave the next morning for her graduation trip to WDW!

I am getting $430 for end of Aug, which is much higher than expected also. I am hoping that it is some kind of glitch and the fares aren't fully loaded correctly because they aren't supposed to be released until tomorrow.
