JetBlue open til Apirl 30th?

I purchased flight down only. NS at 129/pp. Came to 418.50 for the 3 of us. Bonus...had a $120 credit I had forgotten all about!! Had to pay $298.50!

Good luck. I am off to bed now... It is 1 am.

Well. I did get through but I cant decide if I should purchase. I know we are going at a busy time but I was hoping they would be a little bit lower.

Thanks, ended up booking Delta cheaper and I get to stay one more day for less money than JB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I know I was a bit shocked too so if I could had moved my dates by a few days I could have saved some more money but with school could not do that so I went with Delta!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Just booked, Boston to MCO...4/15-4/22, 299.99 RT/pp. Not too bad considering its school vaca.

Nicely done Jill!!!! I just booked our flight home from Ft Myers (already had the flight down) for $219 p/p for the non-stop on the Friday of February School vacation. About what I paid last year to get us home as well, so all in all, it's OK. We stay for free (parents house) so I don't mind paying more for the flights.

Well I slept on it (what little I could) and then purchased the tickets this morning. Pretty pricey but if there are credits available if it comes down then at least I have that insurance.

As far as credits go, they must be good for a year from the date you fly, right? Not a year from the date you book?

I was just really surprised that I had the $120 credit.

Unfortunately, it is 1 year from the date you book...

Ugh...I just checked this morning. From Boston, the cheapest I could get is $154 down (connecting through Buffalo!), and $344 direct back, for April 17-25! Direct down is like $344 as well!

We're flying direct both ways next month for half that!

I may wait until Southwest opens their fares...and Direct Air is supposedly going to announce flights from Worcester to Orlando in the next day or so...

Sad, because we've been flying exclusively JetBlue for the last 3 trips.

Ah yes, JillPie and Debster, my Mass school vacation booking pals! Nice to see you both scored something decent. Like Debster, we already had our flight down to Fla and just needed the return, hoping for jetBlue. We also scored a $219 return non-stop for Friday 2/20, late afternoon. It might have been nice to stay a few more nights at VB (no WDW this time), but we wanted to try not to miss any school this February.

I'm glad it was worth the wait. I am also glad I didn't jump on one of those AirTran MCO-BOS non-stops that have since morphed into stopover itineraries. So this year, we're paying just under $400 p/p for non-stop round-trip, about $100 more p/p than we scored last year. We were very lucky last year, and I consider myself lucky again this year. Oh yes, and I was able to use a $72 credit (obtained when our Labor Day flights went down), so that was nice too.

Good luck all! :goodvibes

Another Mass school vacation gal here (we're in Methuen)! I just booked our airfare this morning on JetBlue 4/22-4/28 (flights are at around 8pm both ways). We're going with cousins who live in NH so we are "splitting" the weeks so the kids can go together and not miss too much school.

I ended up getting the flights for about $250 each. The most I've ever paid for airfare, but I was afraid to wait this time. My mom was pretty adamant about flying JetBlue, so I didn't have much choice.

Getting excited, though.

Want to plan, plan, plan - but can't do much more until the April calendar comes out. Probably a couple more months...

What is Direct Air?

Hey, thanks Deb! I was coming on to tell you thats exactly what Pumpkinboy got on his return flight, and then saw his post below this:goodvibes . We're all over the board today, ha? Its fun to plan. So you did good too! Now its done, yay! And I wasn't even planning on going till I saw late last night someone post about Jetblue becoming available, thanks to whoever did that!:thumbsup2
So everyone, this is our first flight with them, will we like them?

Hey, if the Pumpkins love jetBlue, the Pies will too, I expect ;) Seriously, jetBlue is the Pumpkin family's favorite airline. TV at every seat, leather seats, great service, it's all good for the Pumpkins. For April vacation this past year, we eneded up flying to Austin Texas because jetBlue serves Austin non-stop from Boston; plus DS's godparents have a ranch in west Texas they had been begging us to come and stay at.

You're in for a treat Jillpie; it's better than any other domestic airline we've flown. Enjoy!

ok, laughed right out loud all by myself here. They sound terrific, kind of like how Song (RIP right?) was. I've been trying for Jetblue for the last 2 years and have had no luck with their school weeks, so I'm really psyched to try them. Can't WAIT to have those tv's back:thumbsup2 . Awesome. Hey, check out my new ticker!!

I am really glad I booked early this am. I checked less than twelve hours later and the cost of our two return direct flight tickets from SYR to MCO has gone up by $80. And I had second thoughts because I thought the price was too high when the flights opened! :lmao:

Any chance you could be a little flexible with your dates? Since the actual dates of April vacation are way too expensive, we're leaving BOS on Tues, Apr 21 and coming home on Wed, Apr 29. The kids will miss three days of school, but it will be worth it. We got $154 pp going down and $139 pp coming back, which makes a total of $314 pp. For school vacation week, that's not too bad.

I got up at 1:00 AM to book our flights. I checked the flights again at 8:00 AM and the flight down was already up $30 pp. We're a family of 5, so that would have been $150 more! I'm glad I set the alarm for 1:00 this morning. Now I need a nap...

Wahhh--no cool food nickname for me. ;)

Jill, you will be very pleased. Especially in April when weather is less dicey. The seatback TVs are great (DH misses Song's trivia games), the flight crews are among the nicest we've found, and DS loves the snacks. :lmao:
