JetBlue - one-way bookings?

So just got an email from JetBlue... They are releasing the next block of flights this Sunday, so extending to September 7th. Except we are returning on September 8th.

We are flying out of Syracuse into the LA area (not really fussy on which airport).

Would it still work out as cheap to book our outgoing one-way flight and then wait until the next block is released to book our one-way return?

I have only ever booked a full return trip before and always on the day the block is released, so not familiar with the ins and outs of one-way bookings.

We could possibly change our plans to return on the 7th if you think it is better.

Domestic bookings haven't been cheaper as a roundtrip vs 2-oneways option in a long, long time. Book what works for you.

Our last 7 trips over the past 4 years have all been booked as 2 one way trips. When I find a price and time that I like for one leg of the trip, I book it, knowing I will at some point find what I like for the other leg. Sometime we have had the return trip booked first

The last few trips, I have found it cost less to book one-way tickets.

With the overall cost it's nice to save a little where you can.

One way tickets worked for us. We are flying into LAX and out of Long Beach. We are doing this because of flight times and the cost.

I do not know of any domestic airline today that has a cheaper rate for booking round trip vs a one way leg. I fly weekly and almost all of my flights are booked as one way trips, never round trip.

The prices vary depending on the flight that you choose for each leg. Different times and/or connections can vary the prices wildly.
