Last year we flew jetblue from NYC area to MCO for $89 which included a free bag (this was last week of August-midweek). This year, flights are now $129, a big jump. I will wait it out and see if they go down, if not, we might drive and make some stops along the way.

Thanks for the heads up. I just checked my dates, and I'm going to wait for SW to release their August flights.

I still am trying to see prices for July but keep getting errors...
You can use "Best Far Finder" to get an approximate price (shows you the best daily fare, but not if that involves stops or not). I saw on FB to "just keep checking" for the flights to actually be bookable.

yes, I had to put in one way at a time, if I tried round trip there was always an error message

How far are you from Trenton? We just started using Frontier Airlines because JetBlue rates (particularly with paying for bags) have gone up. Now you have to figure in all the extra costs with Frontier, but they have some seriously cheap flights. We just flew in October for $68 round trip. I'm looking at dates in December for $58 round trip. They have a lot of mixed reviews but we were happy with our experience last month.

Wow I just checked! Portland, ME to Orlando one way is $384! Yikes! I paid $270 round trip last year! I think I'll wait! Surely this will come down!

Thanks for the info

Same boat. I booked $124/$139 for the out bound flight from JFK to MCO mid August. For the return trip on Labor Day weekend, the price is way too high--$369 and up. I reserved a rental car for now. If the price don't drop, I'm planning to drive back. Even with 2 days rental, a overnight stay and gas, I'm sure it will be much cheaper for the 5 of us.

High for us too. The same thing happened during the last release, then the prices dropped later. They are double for us each way.

Don't run that many non stop flights out of LAG. So the cheap seats get taken very fast. The price goes up and those flights don't get discounted. Never fit into any of there deals
