Jetblue, extra space seats?

You can look online to find the number of extra inches you get in the particular plane you will be flying to see if it is worth it to you.

It also gets you expedited security at certain airports. It does not mean TSA Pre-Check, but there are dedicated queues that can get you to the front of security.

We have yet to fly JB without buying it, but we also have a 7yo DD, so getting through security faster and early boarding has helped in the past. We now have Pre-Check so I'm not sure if we will purchase it next time as it will only be DW and myself, still deciding. But we probably will.

I had one of those seats on 03/27/17. The Even More Speed was not a big advantage at the Orlando airport. It means you go in a different line to get to the TSA agent who checks your boarding pass and ID. The regular lines were just as short as the Even More Speed line, and the TSA guy was alternating between lines. So no advantage there at that particular time.

Once you get past the guy who checks your ID, the Even More Speed line merges with the other lines to get to the point where your stuff goes through the x-ray machine. So Even More Speed is no help at that point.

Is it worth the added cost for the more space seating on jetblue?

First time I flew JetBlue I had the extra space seat, which was fine, but I couldn't see the screen with my reading glasses on. So now I book a regular seat. Lol

I have long legs and there is plenty of room in a regular seat. I always fly JetBlue from Newark, NJ to West Palm Beach and they always give me TSA pre-check on my ticket.

Boarding a plane first does nothing for me because I always get on last and check my bags. I hate to sit on a plane any longer than I have to.

our flight is friday out of Boston at 5:50am. I don't need extra leg room and I think my grandson at 5'8" will be fine too. we are at the front of the plane in row 3 and I think I like where we are. not going to change anything, thanks for the feedback

Even More Space seats are a necessity for my 6' 4" tall, 300 pound husband. They are a nice indulgence for me (more than a foot shorter and half his weight).

We do like being able to board second (immediately after the Mosaic customers) and therefore never have an issue with overhead space for our carry-ons.

Just to be clear, the Even More Space gives you more legroom only. The seat width is the same. I thought I would mention it because the man sitting next to my husband on our last JB flight was pissed that he didn't get a bigger seat as well. For us, we like the extra room and the extra speed that comes with it.

I agree that even more speed is no advantage in Orlando. It is an advantage in some cities (Fort Lauderdale for one), but not Orlando.

To me the only advantage is being near the front and first access to overhead space if you're carrying on luggage. That's the only time I buy it. We are JB cardholders so get free checked luggage, plus we have tsa precheck already.

I only get it on the return from MCO just to bypass security. The extra space is fine but I don't need it otherwise.
