Jetblue changed our flight times. Happen to you??

So you think it's ok to ask someone to e-mail you (whoever you are) to supposedly conduct business via e-mail? Sorry, but that still doesn't sound legit in my book. It would sound much more legit if you said, "I work for Orbitz. Please call the telephone number listed on our website for assistance."

Frankly, I think it is creepy even if it is legitimate. This website has nothing to do with Orbitz or Jet Blue (or transportation in general). It would creep me out if the company I booked my travel through "stalked" me like that. It isn't as if this is a common occurrence (or it wouldn't be "customer relations" first post.

I know that Dreams Unlimited does that sort of thing, but this site is directly affiliated with them.

:thumbsup2 Agreed! Though like I said above, I highly doubt it's legit.

While we all would like to think that all that post here have the very best intentions, sometimes that isn't the case. I find it to be somewhat suspicious that a brand new poster registers just to help someone out..and by doing so could possibly get some pretty personal info.
Please remember that this is a public board and that no personal info should be given to anyone that you don't know....especially out in public on a public discussion board.

I really hope that the poster who wanted to help out doesn't get insulted, but I have no other option but to delete those posts. Better safe than sorry.
Thanks for understanding.

It was creepy. I called orbitz and tried to deal with them. First clerk I talked to told me to call jet blue directly. I did and they told me that since I had booked through orbitz that they had to be the ones to call me, but they said that only after I asked to speak with a supervisor. Ok, so I called orbitz again! This time I talked with someone else and even gave her the jet blue supervisor name and number so she could call her directly. I guess she couldn't be bothered doing that. She came back on the line (after making me wait on hold several times totaling 32 minutes) and said that I'd have to wait until jet blue officially canceled the flight and that wouldn't be till mid October. I told her that I had spoken with a supervisor who had approved the entire transaction. She didn't care, she wasn't going to talk to anyone else. I then asked for her supervisor. Gave her all the information yet again. This time she called the jet blue supervisor and got the whole mess straightened out. Our jet blue reservations are now canceled and it could take 2 billing cycles to get our money back!!!! Yup - 2 months for a refund. I'm still ticked but at this point I've re-booked with Air Tran. They at least have a direct flight. I'm never using orbitz again believe me. Not sure I'd fly jet blue either at this point.

I am from MA too..and Jet Blue has changed our flight to Orlando and home once so far..BUT it's not bad. Only 1/2 hour down (we get their earlier) and a half hour home (we get home a little later)..I booked directly with JB

I always recommend booking directly with the airline. There is seldom a reason to go with orbitz or travelocity or expedia. If there is an issue with your flight, then you have to deal with the booking agency. They pretty much 'own' that reservation. Drives me nuts. Sure, I suppose there are times when someone might want to book with them, but for the life of me, I don't want to take a chance. Much better dealing with the airlines directly.

I have to say that I have never had an issue dealing with JB directly. They have gone along, pretty much, with what I needed if they changed something.

Our flights were changed for both an October trip in a few weeks & a December trip. Both times we are getting back home much later than planned, which is a royal pain in the butt.

Unfortunately, it's the only non-stop flight both trips & we definitely want non-stop. It really annoys me that the airlines can just change your flights without giving any kind of compensation, however, if I were to change my flight on JB I'd have to pay a hefty fee. :headache:

We're flying from Richmond, VA and JetBlue really messed up our trip. We originally were arriving in Orlando at 9:30am. They changed to one flight a day and had us arriving 12 hours later!! The return trip changed also, making us lose about 4 hours of our last day. I called JetBlue and complained that they took away almost 2 days of our vacation. They changed our outbound flight to a day prior and I added one extra night at Coronado Springs. It cost more to do that but at least we didn't lose that whole first day.

Jet Blue has changed our flights before but have always been accomodating when we have asked to be moved to another flight on that same day. I would check the flights and see if there is another one that works better for you. They have changed our return flight home this trip, so we are leaving at 7:30 pm instead of 9:10 pm, so we are actually pretty happy. Seems to be happening more often with every airline, but we still like Jet Blue a lot.

Thanks for the info. THey just changed my SIL and grandson's flight. They were suppose to arrive around 8:30PM and we are picking them up at the MCO. Now JB changed their flight by 2 1/2 hours and they won't be arriving until after 11:00PM. There is no other flight they can take, so would have to fly in the next day, so we are thinking of calling to see if we can get a refund so they can fly another carrier. We've not called fto confirm the change yet.

Wanted to update that I called JB today to find out my options. The agent (as always) was pleasant and helpful. She offered to move my guys to any of the other flight or even the next morning, but that wasn't going to work. I asked about a refund and she said since the change was 2 1/2 hours, they could only offer me a trueblue credit, and only offer refunds if the change is 4 hours or more. Since I fly Jetblue often, I opted for the refund into my trueblue account. I'm guessing I could've complained and maybe got a refund to my cc, but I'll be buying my January and May 2011 tickets soon, so the credit can be used there. Even though I was not flying, because I booked the flights for my SIL and GS I could still get the credit in my account since I paid with my cc.

Here's a question for you Jetblue veterans: does this happen often? Because of them changing the flight times for a connecting flight of mine in early February, I called and changed the time of my initial leg of that trip.

Is there a strong chance that Jetblue would change their flight times again?

Anything is possible...nothing may change at all, or you could have several changes.

We enjoy JB.:thumbsup2

Flying with them means a very long drive - 12 hours - to access their nearest airport, but it also means considerable $$ savings for us, and makes more trips possible.

We also travel with all the other biggies, but are consistently "happier" with our experience of JB.
Maybe because we've already had a great travel day already, on vacation??
I don't know.:confused3
(AirTran and SW are great as well for discount airfares, but our kids enjoy the TVs more)

So, long way of saying:
Sched changes happen.
If you're ok with it, click the accept button. :)
If not, give them a call.
We find they'd rather work with us, than not.
Do I worry about schedule changes?
Nope.
S'all good :goodvibes

HTH!!
:)
