JetBlue Cancellation Policy help

I'm currently purchasing JetBlue flights for May. They offered me a fully refundable ticket for $113. Yet their website states: "Need to change your travel plans? There are no change or cancellation fees (except for Blue Basic fares)."

Now I'm totally confused. I'm purchasing Blue, not Blue Basic.

Any clarification you might have would be so helpful. I'd call them, but calling JetBlue lately has been a nightmare. Thanks!

Most likely it means you have 24 hours (or less) after booking to cancel or change your flight without a penalty fee.

The difference is, you can get a JetBlue credit towards a future trip, or an actual refund.

I think either way you can get a refund to your credit card if you change or cancel within the 24 hours after booking.

I never purchase Blue Basic or Extra so I can't help with that. I get the Blue.

I get Blue as well. I'd be fine with a JB credit if that's what they'd give. I may bite the wait-on-hold bullet and call them later. Probably tomorrow, since Monday is a notoriously bad day to try to call anyone. I'll report back.

And thanks for your replies.

ETA: I wasn't concerned about canceling within 24 hours of booking--that much is clear. I was quite surprised when they offered to sell me a fully refundable ticket for an additional $115 if the flights I'm purchasing have no change or cancellation fees, which is clearly stated on their website. In case I didn't make this clear to begin with.

On a nonrefundable ticket, you can't get a refund. You can change it or cancel it without paying a penalty to just change or cancel it, but you have to pay the difference between the flight you bought and the one you are changing to, or accept JetBlue credit for a cancellation rather than a refund. With a refundable, you can just get the previous ticket refunded and book or not book a new one.

It is true that any ticket is refundable within 24 hours of booking.

Thanks. That makes sense. I didn't feel that $115 to get a fully refundable ticket was worth it. If I have to change this flight for some reason, I'll be booking another one, certainly within their year-long timeframe.

This wasn't clear to me with just the info on their website, so I appreciate your help!
