So, there I sat, in my family room a day or so ago. I heard a very low flying plane so got up to see if the military was flying over yet again!!! Nope..it was a Jetblue flight, arriving into Worcester! Looks like we're right in their flight path! So, of course I had to get online to see where it was coming in from. It was coming from Orlando!!! The 3:30 flight from MCO was right on time!!!
Not of any importance really, but I think it's so nice to have a good airline back in our area!! And to have them flying overhead is very cool!

Even better to be on the one leaving for Orlando!

We flew out of Worcester on Thursday! The plane left a few minutes early, and was almost full. We head back home tomorrow, hoping for another smooth experience! Now if only the price for our May trip would go down by about $250 we might use Worc. again.

I'll be on that plane on Dec 3!!! Can't wait..then again in late January, but headed to Ft Lauderdale!

Too bad Worcester fares are so much higher than Boston. For our June trip, even if we paid to park in Boston it would still be cheaper than flying out of Worcester.

We live 20 minutes north of Worcester it would be so nice, but it's not worth a couple hundred dollars difference than going to Boston. I don't understand why the prices are so much higher when JetBlue got such a deal to fly into Worcester (tax deductions, etc.) . Hopefully the prices will go down.

All of my flights out of Worcester are cheaper than either PVD or BOS. I will book at whichever airport is cheaper. But, if BOS or PVD are only a bit cheaper, I will fly out of Worcester. It's easier to get to (25 mins away) and parking is half what it is at other places. But, I booked those flights almost as soon as they came available! They are now ridiculously high. It's all based on how many seats are open.

I've yet to find Worcester cheaper for JB, but it could be one of those timing things. In order, PVD is usually the cheapest followed by BDL, BOS and ORH. Parking is similarly priced in PVD and BDL, even cheaper at ORH, and just plain ridiculous at BOS. Even today with the fare sale, PVD was just under $200 R/T, Boston was $240, and ORH was just over $300. I'll keep checking each trip, but with just one flight a day right now, I think demand is a bit skewed compared to PVD with 2, BDL with 3, and BOS with 7-8.

We flew into Worcester on Nov. 13 and the flight was great!

Looking forward to flying ORH to FLL in Feb. I just checked for a May flight from ORH to MCO. Too high for me & much higher then PVD to MCO. I'm holding tight for now. I'll fly out of either airport & will do everything possible to avoid flying out of Logan. Really nice to have this option available now.

For my February flights ORH is a lot cheaper than BOS and PVD is slightly cheaper than ORH. This isn't surprising since I'm traveling during NH's vacation week so the further the airport, the cheaper the fares. The difference in price between ORH and PVD isn't enough to make me drive the extra to PVD but the difference between BOS and ORH is by far enough for the extra drive to ORH. I'd prefer MHT but flights from MHT are significantly higher than BOS (SWA from MHT, JB from the rest). I really should get booked though since the ORH prices are slowly climbing though still nowhere near as high as MHT or BOS.

I'll be watching as well for responses about what security is like.

Most excellent news. How was it checking in, and security? Curious as to what to expect in two weeks.
Typical MCO checkin. It was weird not to go to SWA's gates (120s) but gate 15. We only flew into Worcester as flights out hadn't started yet.

Have fun! :goodvibes

Well, that would make sense. Looking forward to flying out next Tuesday! And again, round trip, to FLL in late January!

So.....I fly out of Worcester next Tuesday morning. Paid about $99 for that flight to MCO. I booked my return flight using JB reward points, flying into Providence. Well, dh's schedule changed and he isn't able to get to PVD to get me. So, I checked out returning to Worcester. The flight from MCO is only $85! I added extra leg room to get slightly speedier security at MCO. So, $115 total. Sure, I'll lose those points. But at least I don't have to spend money for a shared van ride home....an hour!
I have to say that I was very surprised to find such a low fare a week prior to travel.
